I can't review the actually Gym teachers, because I have been so discouraged by the front desk staff. When I first came in to get information I waited and waited while the lady was on her cell phone talking about her day to someone and what her kids are up to. Then when another lady walked in to help it was more like what do you want? I got the information for my kids and the helpers at open Gym were very nice. I just called again (months later) to ask about classes and was told "Hold on, Im with a customer" I said okay, no problem. Then 15 minutes later I realized no one was coming back. We have had a blast this summer with this Gym, they are wonderful! They really take the time to spend with the children, and best of all they encourage them so they don't feel self defeat. This is a overall great gym. ...read more

Take care dealing with this gym. The owners obviously aren't proud of it, upkeep is bare minimum. A few employees try to make a difference, unfortunately it pales in comparision to the downfalls. Stay for a few practices and you'll see what really goes on. We had a nasty ending with them, thankfully we were able to go to a much better (friendlier & cleaner, also) gym. Our daughter was hurt that she was "excused" on questionable terms, we were also; neither owners or coach would sit and have a conference with us other than the nasty encounter I had with Mr. Dorling who, in one word, is scary. Weeks later we are still waiting on a response to several attempts to obtain our daughter's records. I feel the gym only continues to operate because of location. If you are a parent who doesn't ask questions, you'll be right at home here. Hopefully they will turn their business practices around so they can better serve the gymnasts in the South Sound area.
