I left Gale Insulation right when the recession started. Now I am 50% owner of Armando's Insulation. It was tough for awhile there to get work, but after making a negotiation with our Insulation Dealer we ended up successfully lowering our prices and begun to sign more contracts. We had one truck to begin with and the founder was installing on one of the crews, now we have 4 trucks (2 Insulation/2 Gutter) and both owners are out bidding jobs. Buying AL Construction and merging with them was the key, with the lowest Gutter Prices on the market we have really started to attract consumers. Hopefully in the future we can add 1 truck for each trade and really start to grow. But, the key has been Low Overhead and tough negotiation with consumers and Installers about their pay rates.
