This is probably the worst shop in Washington state. The head artist, Noah Tran is a complete failure. I got a tattoo there and I was told it came with lifetime touch ups, it was pricey too. Well I went up to his shop from Seattle for a touch up, the first time he over booked and would not be able to see me, and the second time he wasn't even at the shop. And these were scheduled more then a week in advance. The third time, he calls me last minute and tells me to come up to Everett, and that it was going to cost me money to have it touched up. I told him how I felt about his unsavory business practices and he made indirect biological threats, i.e. dirty needle use. I did not want to post this review, as the art is good, but I now have to pay different artist to do the touch up. Stay away from this shop and its junkie owners, you will most likely be screwed over. At the time of this review, Noah Tran was not licensed through the state to give tattoos. ...read more

The Sunken Ship Tattoos

i have been getting tattooed around seattle for about 10 years. Ive been tattooed by no names and big names and let me tell you, sunken ship tattoo is a five star establishment. I have had 4 tattoos completed by travis broyles and his work is amazing. He can do it all from old school to realism to new school. His attention to detail is purely amazing, his linework is solid, and his color is out of this world.\t\n\t\nEveryone at sunkem ship is beyond curteous and the environment is out of a 1950s tattoo shop. ...read more

The Sun and your new Tattoo

The Sun can be your worst enemy on a fresh tattoo,  if you put a new tattoo in the sun, you will instantly feel it.  It will feel like a very bad sunburn right away.  Why?  You ask...A fresh tattoo is considered a open wound and like any open wound it does not have the layers of the skin to protect it, and the sun can cause a sunburn very fast when it's not protected by the top layer of your skin.   The top layer of your skin is the toughest of all your layers of skin.  Also the sun can dry out a new tattoo too fast, which will cause excess scabbing and ink loss.  Some people spend thousands of dollars on their ink, so make sure you protect your investment....Stay out of the direct sunlight for at least two weeks, or until it's completely healed.  Then always use a very high spf sunscreen on all your tattoos, even for years after.. Protecting your tattoos from the sun will help your tattoo stay beautiful and vibrant for years.... ...read more

Tattoos and the Sun

The sun can be your worst enemy on a new tattoo. If you just got a tattoo STAY OUT OF THE DIRECT SUNLIGHT.  If the sun hits your tattoo you will definitely feel it right away.  It will feel like a bad sunburn instantly.  The heat from the sun will also react to the skin and can cause permanent damage to your tattoo, it can cause ink loss and scarring.  Do not apply sunscreen to a fresh tattoo, only use the recommended aftercare ointment that your tattoo artists tell you to use.  Some sunscreen have fragrance in them and can cause irritation to the tattoo area, which will result in ink loss.  You cannot possible stay out of the sun everyday, so once your tattoo heals you should always use a high proof spf sunscreen.  The sun will fade your tattoo overtime, so to keep your tattoos vibrant you should always protect them and yourself with sunscreen.  Another word of advice is do not go swimming for at least two weeks after you get a tattoo, most bodies of waters like lakes and rives have bacteria in them, and if you get any of that bacteria into a fresh tattoo you could possible get a bad infection.  Just remember a new tattoo is considered an open wound, and like any other wound you need to give it time to heal.  If you take care of your tattoos they will remain beautiful an vibrant.  Take care of yourself and your tattoos.  If you have any questions feel free to give any one of our artists at Razers Edge Tattoo Shop in Everett WA a call @ (425)420-6906, or stop by our tattoo shop, our address is 607 Everett Mall Way Everett WA 98208, we care about your health and well being and would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.  ...read more

Deciding on a tattoo, what should you get?

Tattoos are an expression of ones self, people get tattoos for numerous reasons, some get one as a remembrance of someone who's passed,  to express their faith, or to express the love of someone.  When deciding on what you should get tattooed, remember these things-will you always feel this way, will you regret it in the future, and will you always love it.  Some individuals that get a name of a boyfriend/girlfriend or wife or husband feel at the time that they will always love this person.  But as all of us in the tattoo industry know 95%  of people who get a name tattooed on their body end up regretting it in the future.  You definitely can't go wrong with the name of your children or parents or anyone in your family.  Never have I seen a customer come in and want the names of their children covered up.  Now just try to remember when getting a tattoo what you do for a living, if your a high end CEO of some big company you may want to decide on a tattoo that can be hidden by clothing(just saying).  All of us in the tattoo industry love tattoos and feel they are an expression of who you are.  Just take a minute to think about it if you are unsure.  We would rather tattoo you when we know that you are going to absolutely love it, then have you question it once it's there.  If you are wondering how big of a tattoo you should get, always start small, you can always add on to a tattoo to make it bigger.  If you are still having troubles deciding what you want, come into Razers Edge on Everett Mall Way and talk to one of our artists, talk about your ideas and let us help you come up with the perfect tattoo.  From your staff at Razers Edge in Everett WA ...read more
