Clarkston is a city in Asotin County, Washington. It is part of the Lewiston ID-WA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 7,337 in 2000. Clarkston is named after William Clark, co-leader of the Lewis and Clark Expidition. One of the most popular areas in the city is the Port of Clarkston, which provides a great opportunity for visitors to boat and fish on the Snake River.
