Horrible experience with Millie for the below reasons:\n\nFirst off, if you're a bride, know EXACTLY how you want your cake to look, if you go back and forth with Millie even once, she will write you a scathing email suggesting that if you 'don't trust her and her team then maybe you should find another baker'. \n\nThe wedding cake color was white with white piping while, our contract stated it was to be an ivory colored cake with white piping. None of the detail could be seen on the cake unless you were less than a foot away. \n\nFlowers were not placed on the cake. Millie told the wedding coordinator that she would "not place sub-par flowers on the cake" (I saw the flowers and they were fresh.) She then left, leaving the cake bare with the flowers just heaped on the very visible cake table. The taste of the wedding cake was not what any of us remembered tasting-the ingredients seemed to be a lower quality. My Mother and I both bake, so we can distinguish different baked goods/ingredients pretty easily. We were very taken aback on the wedding day with the awful tasting cake, having remembered very different cake at the tasting. Which led us to believe that the tasting cakes and actual wedding cakes are made from different grade ingredients. \n\nThe groom’s cake was inedible. Millie admitted to this saying she would check on what happened with the manufacturer. She did give a 1/3 of our payment back, but I would have much rather spent a bit more at a reputable baker since you only have one wedding day.\n\nOverall, we were very disappointed with her lack of professionalism and sketchy business practices, we have warned any newly engaged friends, posted to FB, and reviewed her wherever we could so these types of practices aren't encouraged. ...read more
