Ant Control LLC

Called ANT for an issue I was having with mice in my downstairs kitchen. The owner came out and inspected around the stove area where we were having the problem. He pulled out the bottom drawer of the stove and found a hole where the gas line was coming up through the floor and noticed some insulation pieces that were torn up. He sealed the opening and looked around for any other places that they might be coming in. He then went into the crawl space and did a mouse treatment. It has been a little over a month and we haven't heard anything or seen anything so me and my wife are completely satisfied. If we have any more issues we will call Mike again. Very professional, on time , and was done in about an hour. ...read more

I got a call from Mike from Ant Control this afternoon. He was following up with me to make sure we weren't having any more problems with bees. We had a nest of bees come through the wall a couple months ago and was was out of our control so we gave him a chance. He came out to our home and had to extract the nest after about 2 hours from the treatment. We were amazed on how good he was about not making a mess everywhere like we had with another company years ago. He kept it contained and I was very pleased withe the service. I was surprised to get a call from him, almost shocked that he remembered me. It's nice to know that there is a company out there that doesn't just take your money and forget all about you. All and all great job! Will recommend to any neighbors that may need pest control. Thanks Mike! ...read more

Scentsy Game Night

My husband and I had our first theme night Scentsy open house! We are serious gamers and own almost any games that you could think of and we take them all seriously! So in a desperate attempt to find new friends, get more Scentsy customers, and hopefully find that one friend who is just as nerdy as I am, I decided to nerd out the food served as well. Given this is just snackables and I didn’t serve a full dinner. The following is chicken salad sandwiches and tuna salad sandwiches, mixed on white and wheat bread which is hard to tell the difference from the picture, I suggest getting darker wheat bread than I got. Anyway, I made sure that I setup the boards like a chess board and then made my own chess pieces. I am sure that I could have done better, but this was a last minute addition to the preplanned things.  Next up is Catan Veggies and Trivial Purfruit! I just arranged the fruit in the way I thought would look like the trivial pursuit game circle. This was preplanned, but the mandrin oranges were sold out and I had to use canned. The Catan Veggies are cute, Wood=Broccoli Wheat= Yellow Peppers Bricks=Tomatoes Sheep=Califlower Ore= Crinkle Carrots (I would love for a suggestion on this one to change up, I don’t like it but had not idea what to add!) Scentsy Open House If you are still reading this you might be a scentsy consultant looking for some themed ideas! I had a simple setup right behind the table we were going to play the games at. Something simple and was targeted for this specific group I was having over! I didn’t have as many people that I wanted for game night, but I definately had enough over to make a party, which with Scentsy is the ultimate goal right?! Love what you see in Warmers? You can get them here!  ...read more

What is the need of having a termite contract?

Since most termite damage is behind the walls or under the house, you can have extensive damage before you notice it.      Termite service agreements between a homeowner and termite company, ensure that inspectors will visit and inspect your home for visible evidence of termite infestations and termite damage. The cost of purchasing termite control service agreements varies based on several factors such as size, location and construction type, and such agreements should include an intital inspection, termite control treatment and annual termite inspections.  Here are some facts that you probably never imagined about termites: A typical home with termites may have three to four termite colonies around it, with as many as one million termites in each colony. That’s more than the number of people in most cities.   It is estimated that for every human on Earth there may be 1,000 pounds of termites. That's about the same weight as a full-grown cow! In some parts of the United States, termites build freestanding mud tubes in order to get to wood. One documented tube in a home was 12 feet long from floor to ceiling. It actually swayed with the light breeze from the home’s air conditioning.   The queen of a species of African termite may eventually grow to five inches long, and lay up to 30,000 eggs a day. Chickens usually lay between 180-320 eggs each year!   Termites work 24 hours per day and never sleep. And you thought your work day was long!   Termite Damage Statistics Termites damage approximately 600,000 homes in the United States each year.   U.S. residents spend an estimated $5 billion annually to control termites and repair termite damage.   According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. residents spend at least $1 billion on termite control and repairs each year. Some experts estimate the number is closer to $2 billion.   Superior Termite and Pest Control would be honored to take care of you. Don't let your home be apart of the termite damage statistic. Call our office today at 757-499-3999. We look forward to hearing from you! ...read more
