Findlay Plumbing was sent to my house by AHS because my hot water heater was leaking. Joe Findlay was very rude and extremely arrogant. I was informed immediately of what could not be done instead of what could be done. The plumber wanted to test the water heater for the leak. I said I understand but I did not want a bunch of water leaking on my floor and getting the carpet wet again. I had spent over 4 hours cleaning up the spill and more time drying the carpet.. No solution was offered and the plumber said, “do you want me to test it or not”. I said, again, it was ok to test but I did not want water on my carpet. I had bought a new drip pan and intended to put it under the new water heater and I told Joe Findlay that we could just put the pan under the leaky water heater, which was now empty, so there would be no water leaked when it was tested but he said, “I can't do that'. He did not even offer to instal the pan if I paid him to do so. He stomped out of the house and said he was calling American Home Shield. He came back and said that the claim was denied and I needed to call AHS which I did. I installed the drip pan myself, which took less that 5 minutes, so there would be no water spilled when the heater was tested and AHS wanted me to give Findlay another chance., After seeing negative reviews and learning that Findlay Plumbing is not accredited by the BBB. I changed my mind and had AHS send out Wilborn & McCay Plumbing which did a great job on replacing the hot water heater. Joe Findlay was not helpful at all and acted like he was being inconvenienced by my request to not have water leak on my carpet when the leak test was going to be done. This man was rude, arrogant, and not helpful at all. I will never let Findlay Plumbing on my property again. ...read more

I just had a slab leak, and had to repair the entire pipe from the bathroom to outside. This was over 20 feet. They did a gray job, in a very timely mannetr, even though it was the holidays. I have dealt with Brian's Plumbing, and would rather use Findlay Plumbing any time. Good pricing even better. They know their stuff, and the owner it'sI trust every time now. Thanks you guys saved me majorly. ...read more

Beware! A Findlay Plumbing supervisor left a brand-new employee alone at my house with my wife and kids. The new employee continuously harrassed my wife in a very improper manner until the supervisor returned. He made her feel extremely uncomfortable, even in front of the kids. The new employee was fired after my wife and I reported it to the owner. I was impressed with the quality of Findlay Plumbing's work up to that point; however, after this incident, I won't recommend them to anyone. My advice to anyone bringing a contractor into their home: Make sure that two employees are present at all times and make sure that another adult - whom you trust - is present with your wife and kids. The owner apologized profusely for this incident. The supervisor handled this vile transgression in a very professional manner. However, the damage is done. It's all a matter of principle. I wouldn't let them finish the job even if they offered to do it for free! ...read more
