Good Time Cycle

They seem to be good people but I'm having a very hard time collecting on warranty work. I bought a new bike almost a year ago and when it started to have trouble I took it in. They said ''No problem we will get you taken care of'' that was a month ago and I still don't have my bike back. I'm kinda under the impression that they don't want to fix it. I can sort of understand if they where having a hard time getting my parts in but that isn't the case. They've had them now for 7 days and still haven't touched my bike. ...read more

Was in GTC few weeks ago looking for some tech support on the wiring on my Polaris. The employees there were rude and seemed unwilling to help, suggest a course of action or even an estimate of repair cost. One man spoke up when I asked there shop rate "depends how much money you got" I turned and walked out when another customer approached me with the same emotion WHAT AHOLES THEY ARE and then told me of this guy outside Lindale that was the best of the best and works out of his home shop. I gave this guy Gary Allen Tri- County Small Engine Service a call and he was only a few miles from me at the time and stoped what he was doing and came to me. He listened very attentive as I explained the electrical problem. (Keep in mind I have already been to every shop around and no one seemed to be able to or willing to fix my 4-wheel escape) This Guy asked if it was ok for him to do some test. Of course I said Hell Yes you can. I walked away to allow him rom to breath and watched him from my kitchen window. Within 30 minutes he had it up and running he explained the problem and even though I acted like I understood I have no idea. I asked him what I owed and he handed me a business card and said 'no charge just tell your friends about me". So here I am and believe me I have sent several peope to him and they were astonished as I was. So much knowledge and customer service right under our noses. He even has mobil service available and can fix anything, even fixed my daughters laptop. GIVE HIM A CALL tell him RJ sent you. 903-376-1356 Gary ...read more

I was hesitant to use Jim because of the negative review I had read. Jim gave me an estimate over the phone for parts on a 40 year old stove element and service charges. He came to our house on a Saturday, installed the part, charged what he said he would charge and cleaned up after himself. All in all, a very professional job. I would use him again. ...read more

A 1 Appliance

Jim McGill of A-1 Appliance misrepresented items and expense needed for repair and subsequently lied about parts and followup appointment. 7-29 Jim told me our Whirlpool built in oven needed a touch pad @ a cost of $483 plus 1 hour of labor. I asked about the thermal fuse since I had researched online and found it exhibited similar symptoms. Jim told me our oven did not have a thermal fuse and this part is what would fix it. 7-31 Jim installed touch pad. Oven still wouldn't heat. Jim told me at this point the part is non-refundable. He wanted to install a main power controller for $144 and guaranteed this would fix it. I again asked about thermal coupler and he told me it does not have one. He told me he would order part on his own w/no upfront $ from me. He would come Saturday around noon and get it. Jim did not call nor show up. 8-3 Jim called and wanted to see the schematic paperwork to see if there was a thermal coupler and he would now need upfront $ to order the part. Good business is all about having a good relationship with the staff. I have been doing business at Good Time for the past 8yrs and I have had no complaints. Being a drag racer, I purchase lots of clutches and after market parts for my bike and they have always taken very good care of me. My parts always come in when they are expected and they always call me to let me know they are in. I'm sure that there are some times when it takes longer to get someone's parts in or to get their bike/ATV/Jet Ski ready to go but I assure you its not because they are making excuses and putting someone off. I live in Rockwall, TX now (about 85 miles away) but I still make the drive to Tyler to get my parts because they're THAT NICE and PROFESSIONAL. Lisa, Kevin, Ted, Chis etc. They're all great people and even better when you get to know them. ...read more

Jim is a liar, an inept service tech, and I believe owes me $483 plus tax and labor and my original touch pad. He is confrontational when he makes a mistake and can't be trusted. \t\n ...read more

Due to the Honda dealership closing, I needed a shop that could service my Gold Wing. I had bought helmets and accessories in the past from Good Time Cycle. I contacted them in person to buy tires and have them placed on my bike. I was told I would be called when they came in--DID NOT HAPPEN. I dropped by and they were in--the parts guy just stated that he guessed the service dept did not call me. I ask when I could bring my bike in to get the tires put on, was told I could bring it in the same day. I was quoted a price to mount the tires. When I arrived, a tech with a long red beard told me the charge for the front tire would be another $20 due to the bike having a fender that would need to be taken off. NOW, I am thinking, who doesn't know what a Gold Wing looks like? It is a touring bike, one which competes with one of Kawasaki's bike. They could not even give me a fair estimate for an oil change. I believe that they have lost my business. ...read more
