Our girls started swim lessons at another well known swim program. All they did was blow bubbles and learn how to float on their backs for months and months and months. We were frustrated that their swimming skills were not progressing. At the suggestion of a friend we joined SASA. WOW! In one semester of lessons the girls were swimming like fish. We were so impressed. Their stroke skills, confidence and endurance were growing exponentially in short amounts of time. The girls also were excited to go to swim lessons. Our daughter started lessons with San Antonio Swim Academy at 18 months and has loved it from the very beginning. All of the instructors are great...very patient and gentle; though we especially love Ms. Rebecca! I have two daughters ( ages 4 and 8) enrolled with SASA. As a parent it was important to see that swimming with this company is not only about learning how to swim, but about having confidence, discipline, and staying safe in the water. My daughters instructor ( Mrs. Amber) is the best! She has such patience and truly displays her love for swimming with her students. She always remains so calm and focused even when I can clearly see that her toddler students are not having a good day.. The staff at SASA are always a phone call away and are very courteous and professional. Speaking to a "Live" person and not an answering machine is always a plus for me. My daughter first started out with a mommy and me class when she was 2. It was a good positive experience that we continue to use SASA. I read the first couple of reviews and have to say my experience with the San Antonio Swim Academy has been the complete opposite and nothing short of excellent. My son has been a year round swimmer since the age of 3. By the age of 5 he was swimming the length of the pool incorporating multiple proper swim techniques. I'm a very picky parent and don't settle for subpar. I can honestly say the instructors we've had (Chris, Seville & Anthony) have all been professional, patient and truly exceptional. My son loves to swim and is completely comfortable in the water. I owe his success to the fantastic teachers and exceptional learning environment provided by the San Antonio Swim Academy. I must give credit to my daughters instuctor MS.AMBER. She is so wonderful with her. She has all the patience in the world. Our son has been going to SASA since he turned 2. He has completed two sessions and now has been enrolled for year round swimming! He loves his instructors and loves being in the pool. I can't say enough wonderful things about the SASA instructors. They are so very patient and friendly when it comes to working with children. They are very professional, always on time and very involved. I love the fact that he is feeling more confident in the water and it makes us feel much easier. I LOVE SASA!! THEY HAVE SMALL GROUPS, THE TEACHERS ARE WONDERFUL!!! IT'S AMAZING HOW THE KIDS ADVANCE IN SWIMMING. MY SON DID NOT WANT TO PUT HIS HEAD IN THE WATER WHEN HE STARTED & WOULD ALWAYS SWALLOW LOTS OF WATER NOW YOU WOULD NOT EVEN THINK IT WAS THE SAME KID. HE IS NOT AFRAID TO GET IN THE WATER. My daughter (4 years) has been taking classes for almost a year now. When she started she was scared to go in the water. Now she has no issues whatsoever. She has made great progress and we plan to continue to send her here (infact we have already pre-registered her for another whole year). I have read about complaints from previous posts about instructors changing all the time and cancelling classes. Our experience has been completely the opposite. We always had the same instructor (and she has been great) and I don't remember her cancelling even a single class in the past one year!
