I hired Brian Evans GC license CA569540 on 11/17/14 to remodel my bathroom. He took a draw of 2100.00 for a dumpster and materials. he did not start till 12/1/14 at which time he brought out a trailer instead of a dumpster and two subcontractors to demo. they only partially demo ed the shower. they were contracted to remove and replace the ceiling but instead just mudded it over. I called him and told him i had issues so he brought another subcontractor out on12/5/14. He also brought 3 bags of concrete for the shower a vanity that was missing all of the listed hardware and several 2x4s.He took a draw of 2500.00 for labor. this subcontractor installed drainlines but did not glue them, installed drainage that ran uphill and glued it. He put water supply lines over and under an electrical outlet within 2 inches of it Along with several other large mistakes. I called Brian several times and told him i had major issues when he finally responded he said he would take care of it. He finally brought another subcontractor out on12/18/14 and told me he needed 3000.00 to get the subcontractor started i gave him it and he gave the subcontractor 1200.00. I called him several times after that during the remainder of the job but he never responded. He never gave the subcontractor any more money. He never came back to the jobsite and inspected work I was forced to pay for all materials and arrange for transport of them and had to deal directly with the subcontractor and pay him. the job ended 1/19/15 with no further contact from Brian Evans. Dan, to my knowledge, the owner of this company, is a good talker, but does not measure up with his workmanship. First, he forgot to show up to do my job on the date discussed, then when he did do the work, it was not what we agreed upon. His crew left their lunch trash and drink bottles all over our property, the steps he poured for us were supposed to be round, when I got home, they were rectangular, he "smooth forgot" that they were to be round. His crew walked on my wet cement and left footprints on it. But, the worst thing was his crew was supposed to haul away some cement that they had to remove and replace, instead of hauling it away, they buried some of it in my yard, and dumped the rest in the wooded lot across the street from us. We informed Dan of these things, he said he would take care of it, but did not. He made sure to cash the final check real quick though. I would not recommend him to anyone!!
