The Children's Courtyard

I wish I did not have to give this center any stars at all. This center was a nightmare.... We just pulled my children out because, while watching the cameras, I caught the teacher of my youngest child (the teachers name is Kristine Porter), repeatedly wrapping a blanket around his head and holding him down on the mat at nap time. When I called the center and informed them what was going on they didn't even go check on my child, nor did they remove the teacher while figuring out what was going on. They only removed her from the room before allowing a police office in the building who was there to do a well check on my child (since he wasn't moving and no one checked on him). They then lied to the police, were uncooperative and told him that he had to leave the building?????????? This was a complete nightmare for me and my husband. CPS is currently investigating them for this incident. The regional director said she would be in contact with me and she never called me. They did give us a refund on our yearly registration, weekly tuition and the summer enrollment fees, but I would have much rather of had a director and assistant director who were making sure my child was safe and who would have cooperated with police to make sure that a child is in good hands. Why they chose to leave a teacher in the room who was in question for something so severe AND not check to make sure that my child was BREATHING, is beyond me. Why they would ask law enforcement to leave when they are there to check on the well being of that child, is insane.... I gave this center time to fix other issues, such as the high teacher turn over in my oldest child's class, other teacher issues, etc. But, they just can't seem to keep many teachers for very long. The teachers constantly complain about the director to the parents. This center needs some serious serious help. ...read more

Leaping Forward Learning Center IS THE BEST in my area! Mrs.Robinson has been my child's provider for the past two years and I love what she is doing. My son is learning at an accelerated rate. He is only 3yrs old but he is writing words and reading sight words. She has taught him the cutest grace before eating, and he is learning many spanish words! My 3 year old is pretty close to my 7 year old when it comes to learning! L.F.L.C. RECEIVES 5+ STARS FROM ME ...read more

Leaping Forward Learning Center

I finally found a good childcare home for my 2 year old daughter! My daughter has shown much improvement for her speech! Mrs. Robinson works with her every single day, and she has only been there for 6 weeks. When we are driving down the street my baby points out the "Red Octagon", (Stop Sign), and the "red, yellow, and green circles" on the stop light. She is spelling her name for me, she knows the days of the week, months of the year, her colors, shapes, 5 senses and she even knows a few spanish words, I can't give it all away, so I highly recommend that you stop by to see all that she has to offer. For what she is charging, you couldn't find a better school that teaches all that she teaches. Mrs. Robinson's facility actually looks like a center, but she only teaches a few children which gives her more one on one time with them all. I love, love, love this daycare! Mrs. Robinson gets 5 stars from the Bryant family. ...read more
