Hi my name is Pam and I'm an Avon-aholic! I LOVE AVON. I love it both personally and professionally. It's the cutting edge innovated products at affordable prices. My friend turned me on to Avon back in the 80's. It was love at first site. I loved the fragrances, the makeup….oh look that eye shadow is on sale. I don't need it but I better get it now while it's a good price. I was buying every campaign. My dealer, I mean representative, was giving me freebies to keep me hooked. I didn't see it at the time because I was blinded by my addiction. I was saved when my AVON Lady was let go. See, she worked with me at the same business, and they had to downsize. It was my salvation. I was Avon clean for years. I never managed to hook up with another representative. However, I wasn't happy. Something seemed amiss. I would go to the drugstore and pick up my beauty supplies and pay a lot of money for inferior products. I didn't think the store would be interested in hearing that this product gave me a rash or I decided that color lipstick just doesn't match my hair and/or outfit after all! It was horrible and I stopped using make-up at all. I was falling apart. One day at work a coworker walked in with an Avon brochure…. I almost sensed is presence right away. I ran over and snatched it out of her hand. I felt euphoria wash over me once again….the love of my life is back! All is right with the world. Until……… I realized that I wanted so many items that I would have to take out a second mortgage just to pay it off. I didn't know what to do next. My newest Avon lady decided to share the opportunity with me. She told me it was only $10 to join in person and $20 to join online. They would give me 10 brochures for the first campaign and 10 brochures from the second campaign. I would get all the info I needed to start selling AND 10 free samples. Well that was all it took to convince me to become my OWN Avon Lady!! I can make people feel beautiful both inside and out. All kidding aside now, I do love Avon. It is the company for Women. What I wrote about is true but written slightly twisted to be humorous! That's just me. I started in January of 2006. I have now have a customer base of people. I have achieved Advanced Unit Leader status. My team is growing all the time. All it takes is the cost of lunch or dinner out to start your career and the drive to see through. Of course you must realize that nothing will get handed to you. Customers and money will not magically fall into your lap. Avon is a well known product with a good reputation and following. It "almost sells itself". But really nothing sells itself. The amount of energy and time you put into your business will determine what you can get out of it. I have worked my business and it is paying off. It is still a work in progress and I will continue to do my job. However to me it's not a job but a passion. I remember reading somewhere but cannot remember the source …"If you enjoy what you do, you'll never have to work a day in your life!"
