Is Telecommuting The Answer To Work Life Balance?
For many small business owners, getting your company off the ground sometimes means running your life into it. Working long hours (often from home) and being on call at all times is the unfortunate price a business owner will pay to see success in the future. There are many ways that these added pressures can be managed – meaning that you can still put the ‘man hours' in, yet not feel like you're tied to the office. Getting this balance right through a clear set of rules is important for both the company and the employee. One idea here is to judge the results rather than the processes behind them. It will be impossible to know everything that an employee is doing, so having trust is also a very important factor. ...read more
