I was trying to receive emergency asst. I lost my job I have children at home, is who you know to get help? I see people driving these nice cars and working, but they getting food stamps or help from these charities... I don't even have money to put gas in my car, we are on our last box of noodles that we eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.. all I get is the run around.. ...read more

I called human service to asked for a food stamp app to be mailed to me. The lady was very rude. When asked for my address, she pulled up an old address that I haven't live at in over a year, this what I don't understand, I had been working over 30 years of paying taxes..been in Texas a year HAD the best job ever until I was let go...since Aug.27 I have been without a job, no money, I applied for unemployment.. nothing...I asked for a food stamp app...nothing...plus I have a daughter.. I usually don't ask for anything..I have always worked..but now that I need the help..I can't get it..I been trying charities..my appt. Is in Oct. We will be on the streets by then... ...read more

I used them last year for only 3 months. The Dallas office was so poorly managed and their staff was very unprofessional. They were understaffed and they dropped their services with me claiming that they could no longer provide. This is my first experience with an agency and it was an awful one. ...read more
