Though communism is not something that is highly looked upon there are still many communist governments in existence today. Communist governments tend to create an increased amount of tension and fear. China, Cuba and North Korea are some of the most well-known countries today that have a communist government.

Therefore, in order to prevent opposition and protests the government uses censorship. Countries like China and North Korea are known for strictly controlling what the people see and hear by censoring the media.
