This low cost provider may be a demonstration that you get what you pay for.First, this vendor accepted ~$100 extra to get a replacement cell phone for one that was severely damaged. The phone had insurance with a $65 deductable. We paid the deductable and anticipated a new phone. Then, a month later, we inquired again (we were told insurance claims take a long time to process) and were informed that a prorate fee would be charged. We paid this fee and waited another month. When we inquired a third time, we were told they had no record of us paying the deductable and were going to have to pay this again. We refused.Second, we were in the process of changing providers. When our new provider contacted Metro PCS to gain access to the phone number to transfer, Metro PCS cut off service to the phone and claimed that the number was to a deactivated number and therefore they could not transfer the phone number. However, our phone was still paid for two more days when they cut off service to it.Third, another phone was tied to this account. After accepting payment for the next month's services knowing that a phone was to be dropped, Metro PCS informed my son (the continuing user of the service) that he would have to pay more to continue service.All the while, we have had no service or spotty service at our house.Frankly, I think the 1 star that is a manditory is being far too generous. ...read more
