My husband and I paid this company to install a plethora of things from home theater equipment to appliances spending over $15,000 total. This company sold us our home theater setup. Not a cheap set up at that. Variable receivers to operate all the various zones of speakers, 15 in all. We also had purchased our built in refrigerator from them and had them install that as well. EVERY SINGLE thing we had purchased and installed had problems. I'm not kidding. Everything had problems.\t\n\t\nThe built in refrigerator, they didn't bother getting all the specs on the fridge and where the plug in was supposed to be located in our home. An electrician had to come out and move the plug on the wall after the fridge arrived. SmartAV was supposed to be working with the people building our home so they were in close contact with them and could have made these decisions before the product arrived, but didn't. They install the fridge, and it still doesn't sit back as far as it was supposed to because they didn't remove some moulding behind the fridge, as suggested by GE who came to install it, SmartAV never bothered to correct that either, so our "built-in" $9000 fridge isn't installed properly, and we're supposed to live with that. The owner's son, who was at the home trying to fix all the speakers that were mysteriously not working had tried to fix the fridge himself, unbeknownst to us, put a dent in the front of our stainless fridge, again, we're supposed to just live with it. \t\n\t\nWe had paid them for a washer and dryer to be installed, and at the last minute SmartAV gives us the runaround about locating the product that's now "discontinued" we paid for the product months in advance and the product was available, they cashed the check, and come to receive the product, they simply can't locate it. They insisted we buy another brand washer & dryer, and we refused, we specifically asked for LG and finally just demanded our money back for it, and procured our washer and dryer from a reliable source, Home Depot. \t\n\t\nWhen it came to the home theater equipment....ughhh... all total they were installing 5 speakers downstairs, and 10 speakers upstairs in our media room & game room, a receiver in each of those rooms. It took weeks for them to install the speakers, because they could not figure out why they weren't all working. We were told to install everything would be 3-4 days total and it ended up taking many months for all things to be installed and working properly. We've been in our home 6 months now, and have had chronic equipment failure with receivers, hdmi cables, and now recently our projector no longer works. They refuse to replace our projector that no longer works, they are supposed to replace a broken receiver, and put a temporary one in it's place that SmartAV had previously dropped and dented, and still have not come out to put the new one back in, they refuse to come out and replace the projector that no longer works. We are being told to call Epson and pay for a new one to be shipped to us and if we want them to install it we'll be charged $75 an hour to do so. These guys take hundreds of hours to install things, do you think I'm going to pay a rookie to install anything by the hour? I don't think so. \t\n\t\nThe bottom line is, if you want a bunch of amateurs doing the job and spending gobs of time tinkering around with how things are supposed to work then yes, hire them. If you want a professional job done right the first time and done with the knowledgeable people, avoid this company like the plague. They do not stand by their work. We're out thousands of dollars in equipment that doesn't work and we're left holding the bag. It's ridiculous. We are going to pursue them legally with their chronic failures.
