HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!\t\nI tried booking a teeth whitening appointment, called 4 separate times, nobody would return my call. The 5th phone call I finally got an appointment. The "manager" Steve called to confirm my appointment 3 separate times (guess he couldn't remember which location). The day of my appointment (an hour before) he calls to say "We double booked you, sorry there's nothing I can do, here's the number for you to book your appointment again" After traveling 60 miles for this appointment and taking off work he was very uncaring as to my situation telling me he is the manager and there is just nothing he could do. After calling the location to book my own appointment nobody would answer nor return my call. I then called him back to which he ignored my phone call and never returned my phone call. I finally got a hold of the receptionist who was apathetic and instantly made my appointment. Steve then had the gall to TEXT me, yes the manager of a business texting a client, to say "When you come to have your teeth whitened I will let you tan/Mystic tan for free if you want." really? Grow a pair and own up to your mistake! I then go to my appointment and he never apologized ONCE! He then leaves the salon during my appointment and let's the receptionist "check on me" Very frustrating since I had a question towards the end of my appointment, to which she could not confidently answer. This was the worst experience I have ever had regarding customer service. Maybe their poor service was the reason they were trying to gain business through Groupon. ...read more

Tan Etc

I love this salon. They are very nice and have the best prices. I have been to many salons in Austin and haven't found any that match Tan Etc. The beds are always clean and I can use any bed for one price, something no other salon does. They also let you put your account on hold for no charge, something else no other salon does. Very flexible. I really like this salon. ...read more

Airbrush Tanning Benefits

Airbrush Tanning Benefits     While the negative effects ofUV tanningbeds continue to be a main topic in the media, people are switching to safer tanning alternatives. One of the most popular alternatives has become the airbrush tan. Once only available to celebrities, the airbrush tan is now widely available and affordable, and has made sunless tanning lotions and spray booths things of the past. Because of its extremely natural appearance and easy application process, airbrush tanning can not only save you time and money, but can save your skin as well.    Airbrush tanning provides many benefits since it does not damage your skin, is made from natural ingredients, and can improve the appearance of skin.Airbrush tanningis a UV-free form of tanning that is applied topically to the skin. Because the solution is absorbed into the outer layer of skin, it is not permanent and does not penetrate the blood. This makes the airbrush tan a safer option for pregnant women, children, and even individuals with health problems. Theairbrush tanning solutionused for an airbrush is made from natural ingredients including water, aloe vera, and glycerin-based dyes. This solution provides an even, natural looking color on the entire body. With various shades of solution, any individual can achieve a sunkissed glow, or even a dark tan that they would not be able to achieve from the sun. In addition to the bronze glow it provides, an airbrush tan is similar to foundation for the whole body because it evens out skin tone, and can help minimize the appearance ofstretch marks, varicose veins, and tan lines in only one session.   One of the greatest benefits of the airbrush tan is its convenience factor. An airbrush tan typically takes between 5-10 minutes, but can last anywhere from 7-14 days. Even busy individuals can fit an airbrush tan into their schedule and have long-lasting color. The best part is that an airbrush provides immediate color and doesn't require multiple sessions to build up a tan. It only takes 6-12 hours for the tan to develop on the skin. These numerous health and cosmetic benefits make it easy to see why airbrush tanning is safer, easier, and more convenient than the Sun! ...read more

Red Light Therapy Austin

Red light therapywas originally discovered byNASAto stimulate plant growth. They also found that it helped with the healing of injuries and cell repair with astronauts in space. It has led scientists to discover that red light therapy allows cells to grow 150 to 200 percent faster than those cells not exposed to the light. The Red Light emits red of infrared wavelengths to penetrate surface skin tissues. It works by activating ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) in the muscle tissues, allowing the body to use that extra energy for various healing processes. Blood circulation is important in the healing process, and the red light allows for the blood vessels to relax, and normal blood flow can be restored. Headaches, wound healing, cellulite, wrinkles, and even some cases of mild depression can be addressed using red light therapy. Many dermatologists use red light therapy on the face to eliminate pore size and strengthen collagen in skin, but our spacious red light therapy bed allows for the whole body to receive this treatment.  ...read more
