This review was done independently based off of multiple conversations from people who work directly with her.) Contrary to the post from from Anonymous done in 2010. Melinda is far more concerned about her own pocket book rather than her talent. I know multiple people that are with her agency that feel this way. The local SAG Agency should audit her bookkeeping. Not only does she not believe in her talent, but she treats them as if her agency is a dictatorship not a relationship. (which an actor should have with their agent.) Please read reviews before going in with their online special-I wish I had. After using that, the next set of lessons is pretty reasonable (about $200). Before you can even finish this they ask you to sign up for the first level (Social Ease) package of lessons for $2000 . It just gets worse from there. You cannot take any of their offers (for trips or competitions) out the door and they become rude when you don't give them all the money they want. Bottomless pit of money. So, here's the rundown... They get you in for some cheap advertisement. Then, there'll be some small "Get you hooked" package. After that, the prices go to about $1800-$1900 for 10 more private lessons and group classes. IF you can afford that, they'll try to hit you up for THOUSANDS of dollars more in dance lessons. If you have the audacity to tell them that you can't afford that, they will be totally rude and treat you like you are dirt. The studio is fairly nice, but WOW are they high pressure and WAY OVER PRICED. The instructors are mostly (fake) nice, but all are young and inexperienced. if you want to take and zumba class...this is the one.Keila and Riley are both very nice and are so easy to get along with.Their class is so much fun and the dances are so easy to learn.With the two of them you get a mix between the latino zumba and more of and up-beat kind of zumba.Both of them are the best and i couldnt imagine going to any other class, theres no way, not after seeing how fun their class if and the enviroment is just wonderfull to be in. ...read more

I have been dancing at NDC Brentwood for a little over a year now. My experience there has been nothing but wonderful. I have learned to dance, lost weight and have met some great people along the way. This investment in a hobby for myself will last me a lifetime and has been well worth it! My instructor as well as all the other instructors are very professional and encourage you to learn as much as you can. There are always opportunities that are presented to do shows, competitions, or trips, but I have never felt pressure into doing any of them. I do have to say that dancing is a expensive hobby but it is a great activity to learn to dance, exercise without realizing it and meet some great people. My time at NDC has been worth every minute. There are some negative reviews on here about NDC. In the time that I have been taking lessons I have never seen any of it. I attend just about all the parties and outings and the staff has always kept a professional manner and appearance. NDC Brentwood is like an extended family, everyone knows your name and greets you as soon as you walk in the door! I am usally Leary of places that dont have written policy and pricing readily available for you to review and compare. I took the free introductory class,everyone is so friendly when come there.I enjoyed it,next I was offered a first time dancer package of 5 private lessons and 5 group classes for $240.00. I figure thats not to bad,and take the classes.when these are over you get invited to nthe managers office to purchase yet more classes. Then things arent so friendly anymore as theese managers I will equate to used car salesman are telling me 10 private lessons and 10 group classes are now going to cost $1600.00 if you pay it now or $1800.00 in 4 instalments of over $400.00 a month !!! If they would print these prices and policies Im sure nobody would walk through their doors! and although I did take the next block of classes because i was having fun learning to dance.I also know I will not sit down with another manager to purchase a used car for my next group of lessons. going to look somewhere else! ...read more

I've been going to Dance World for a couple of years, now. I'm not a great dancer, but it doesn't matter because everyone there understands that everyone was a beginner at some point in their life. The classes are great, the instructors are wonderful and the people are always friendly and courteous, and everyone is there to enjoy dancing. There are no contracts and no pressure. You can take lessons if you want to whenever you want to from whichever instructor you prefer. Or you can show up for the group classes at any time and you are always welcome. While other places are all about separating you from your money, Dance World is about dancing. Whether you want to be a great dancer or simply an adequate social dancer, Dance World is the place to be. I was invited to NDC as a guest over a year ago. At first everything was wonderful then, as soon as I slowed down on the number of lessons I took a week and didn't do the shows any longer because of the expense (once you get past your first set of lessons which is only a couple of hundred they run over $10,000 for a book of about 100 lessons!!), everything changed!! They no longer danced with me on Friday nights unless it was a slow night, I was the last one called to book in lessons then was frequently bumped for other students who were doing more than I was and was told I would lose what I had learned (muscle memory) if I did not continue at the same pace I had been previously. All in all it ended up making me feel horrible and that I had simply thrown my money away! I also agree with the other comments here about the alcohol and drug abuse. I saw it as well especially at the Friday parties. My instructor would drink before the parties and you could smell it on him!!
