Snip-Its Haircuts for Kids

We have had all of my son's haircuts done here (he is going to be 2 in a few weeks). He loves it! The decorations are great; very bright, colorful and kid approiate. The stylists are fabulous too. They get him in and out of the chair quickly, which is very important with a toddler, and his hair always looks great. I highly recommend this to anyone with a child who needs a trim! ...read more

We went here to get our toddler's hair cut. We called ahead to make an appointment since we have a newborn, but were told they did walk-ins only. It is pricey ($20 wash, cut, blow-out) but the website looked like a fun experience. When we arrived there was one child ahead of us, and more came in behind us. We got skipped! Only after waiting 20 more min were we told that anyone with a $25 VIP ""membership"" would be served ahead of us, and at that point there were 6 VIP kids in the door. These details were not posted anywhere, and this was never offered to us as an option when we called. We left with a disappointed toddler, but went next door to Great Clips ($11) and a promise for a new toy. We won't go back. ...read more

My favourite stylist, Jesse, has moved here after her salon City Looks, sadly, closed its doors in September. Amazing stylist for curly hair!!!! Go see her! great with color too. Parking is a minor pain at rush hour times but I have always found a spot. Love her bc she is edgy.. but I am not.. but some how she makes me feel like I have a little edge for a 40 year old mom with a bob cut! ...read more

This is the first review I have written on citysearch. Erin Finn has been cutting my hair at A Place in the Sun for almost a year now. Every time I leave the salon after Erin cuts or colors my hair, I absolutely love it! I am very particular about my hair cut and color, I am 100% pleased with the service and the price. I drive 30 miles to and from Franklin to see Erin and will continue to do so! I have never recieved so many compliments on my hair as I have in the past year. If you do go to the salon ask for Erin Finn you won't be disappointed! ...read more

We moved here from a Big City and have been looking for a decent hair stylist for awhile. I did expect just a little more from this salon for the prices they charge. I heard the front desk girls ask another customer if she wanted something to drink but was a little disappointed that they did not offer me the same consideration. The girl that cut my hair did a good job (even though my hair is alittle uneven). She listened to what I wanted and was very good about also giving me her input (which showed me she understood what I wanted). When she combed out my hair (long) she asked if I was tender headed. Since she did not use a detangler as ALL other stylists do AND did not comb starting from the bottom first (as PROFESSIONALS recommend)..it WAS rather uncomfortable. She VERY much pushed their products (which did not offend me...I should have expected, with this type of salon) by telling me every product she was using on me and that she would recommend what I should use in the future and that she would show me what I could purchase (which she did). I like my cut (just went short with long layers) but have not decided if I will return to this salon or not. I will probably return because the issues were ONLY minor, but again, I would have expected just a little BETTER with a salon that charges high end salon prices. Maybe the stylist will get more experienced the longer she is doing it. ...read more

I was in the salon a few times and each time I heard the salon owner/manager and staff talking about other customers. It made me wonder what they said when I wasn't there. Also my HAIR COLOR STINKS!!! I hade to go to another salon in Franklin to get it fixed because I didnt trust the girl to fix it. I guess they should focus on hair techniques more than gossiping about others!! NEEDS HELP!!!! ...read more

My kids (both son and daughter) love Snip-its. They never wanted to get their haircut before Snip-its and now they want to go once a week (my son actually said he wanted his hair to grow faster!). They both keep their Snip-its prizes in little boxes in their rooms and compete to see who can collect the most. Saturday's get very busy, so we try to get there during the week. None-the-less, we will be loyal customers for a long time! ...read more
