It was my unfortunate experience to purchase a home in an association that employed Paragon. These are some examples of my experience with Paragon: During a personal audit of the association's financial records, I found that Paragon had paid for a repair to my home that was never addressed. There had been repeated e-mails to the Paragon representative regarding the pending repair, yet they had paid an invoice for work never performed. There were overgrown shrubs and decayed stairs to guest parking and a broken fence which we were told by Paragon were not to code but "grand fathered" thus okay per Metro. Metro came out to investigate a complaint, and the association was written up and assigned a court date if repairs were not made. Per governing documents of the association we contacted Paragon when we noticed skylights were leaking. Paragon's representative told us there had been a resolution passed prior to their management and that skylights were considered windows, thus to be covered by the homeowner and not the association. We repeatedly asked for a copy of the resolution. After repeated requests we were told that there was no such resolution. Paragon's rep called a meeting of the board to have a resolution passed. Later we found out that the association thru their insurance paid to replace another homeowner's skylights at the urging of Paragon. Based solely on my experience I would tell you that trying to communicate with Paragon is nearly impossible. I have saved e-mail correspondence where I finally gave up, called the president of the board, and threatened a lawsuit before I could get a response from Paragon. Because of the skylight and stairs where information that Paragon told me was not true - I would say that they are not always honest. I would definitely suggest that if you are looking for a property management company - keep looking because Paragon has been a nightmare. Staff is so uncaring. They take advantage of us during the May floods that hit our apartments. They are all about the money. I have lived in apartment for 20 years and this place has to be the worse I have ever lived in. It is very noisy here. Kids are always running up and down breezeways screaming and the children will try to get in your apartment. ...read more
