Had them replace a cushion in the bow of my boat and the backing of another. Did nice work however the replacement cushion was about 4 inches smaller than the original. This caused the mounting holes to show. After complaining the owner stated that they based it off the foam in the original. What? Wouldn't you measure the original vinyl that I had provided and if you were unsure then ask? Owner was reluctant to make things right. When they fixed the other cushion they did a good job however they chipped the top of the boat on the front of the bow. After asking the owner said "We weren't even up in that location." DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING!!! ...read more

Save thousands on your wedding and still have it all!

--- Article Published Jan 2008 - Sioux Falls Shopping News/Hy Vee Bridal Guide --- You can have it all and still save thousands!!! According to the Conde Naste Bridal Group, the average cost of weddings today is running more than $27,000 nationally. No wonder couples and families are full of anxiety. How would you like to have all of the things that come with a huge affair and spend as little as $5000? It’s your wedding day, and you deserve everything you’ve always dreamed of, but you can do it for less if you follow these simple guidelines.  1. Set PrioritiesBefore you begin planning, sit down and make a list of what you absolutely must have. This will help you see what stays and what goes when you do your budget.  2. Prepay Discounts Prepay whenever possible – Vendors usually give discounts for prepayment. Put everything on a credit card and earn enough miles to pay for your honeymoon flight!  3. Limit Your Guest ListStandard rule of thumb for guests at any proper affair is to allow one minute for every guest you invite. So if you invite 240 guests, you better allow 4 hours of “thank you” time not including the ceremony, the meal or time or dancing 4. FoodFood can be your biggest expense. Offer a buffet instead of a served meal or host a “Heavy Hors D’Orves” reception. Caterers can be a great way to still offer fine dining. Or if you are really resourceful, cater all of part of the reception yourself. 5. Location. There are many options for low-cost or even no-cost locations. Consider indoor and outdoor locations, including local parks, your own back yard or that of a friend or relative.  6. Avoid Saturday and Summertime. Off-season weddings between October 1 and March 31just cost less! Also, almost every vendor in the wedding industry will offer discounts for “Non-Saturday” events. 7. Wedding AttireIf your wedding gown is your top priority, then get pampered at the top salons. But if you are the type of bride that says “I’m only going to wear this once” then here are a few tricks for you. You could purchase a new gown at a wholesale outlet or from EBay. You may consider a once-worn gown – there are stores just for that purpose. There are discount gown retailers. You could even rent a gown. Or go for the "something borrowed" by redoing your mom's or mother-in-law's bridal gown. 8. Flowers and Decorations. If you can find a wedding location that is already decorated, you'll save a ton! Or have the ceremony in a garden, a park, or a beautifully furnished home. Also, many reception halls include flower decorations with the room charge. You could do the flowers and decorations yourself. You can buy dozens of roses at wholesalers for a great price. 9. InvitationsInvitations are an area where you can almost eliminate the cost completely if you do them yourself. Today’s software programs make fantastic looking invitations for next to nothing.  10. The Right MusicFor some couples, a band is an absolute must, for others it’s a “Big Name Local DJ”. The advantage of a DJ is you get a master of ceremony to move the reception along and they usually are much less expensive than a band. If you want to eliminate music costs completely, set up a playlist on your mp3 player and rent or borrow a sound system. 11. Picture perfect Weddings tend to go by so quickly, and each moment is so precious that having a photographer capture those moments is the only way to really do it right. Great photography doesn't have to expensive. Find a package deal including the shooting, a wedding book, the proofs and the negatives. Videography sometimes is simply an add-on option for DJ companies, or you could have a friend who is into Videography donate it as their wedding gift.  12. All Night Open Bar!  Eliminate or limit an open full bar to one or two hours. Serve beer and wine only, or just provide a cash bar. Minimums are usually easily met by your guests.
