Saturday August 11, 2018 I arrived at Denny's at 8:53 p.m. and was seated along with my 3 family members and 2 year old granddaughter after the fair. We were greeted by a female member of the wait staff and requested a round of water. The water did not arrive at the table. 20 Minutes later a Male server greeted us and again asked what would we like to drink. We again ordered water and 10 minutes later he arrived with the water apologizing for the now 30 minute wait claiming they were just so busy. The restaurant had no more than 8 tables full and there were 3 servers, hmm didn't seem very busy to me. We proceeded to wait another 20-25 minutes to order and didn't receive the food for 45 minutes. I had now been there from 8:53p.m. until 11:04pm at which time I was handed a bill. I explained to the server that I was unhappy and as a continued patron of this Denny's I would like to speak to the manager. Tyler, the manager on duty came to the table. I expressed the fact that i was unhappy with the service and the length of time it had taken for us to receive any accommodations. Tyler said " We had a guy die in the kitchen so it has messed up our program here." Who uses the death of an employee to justify poor service? Well the night manager at Denny's apparently. Needless to say we left the restaurant very late very unhappy and disgusted. Tyler made no further efforts to correct the wrongs or have his customers leave happy.
