I lived at Amberwood Townhomes for 2.5 years. In the afternoon of May 2014, while I was at work, someone broke into my Townhome by kicking in my Back Door. The doors are made of Cheap Material, and Installed Poorly with Unsecure Locks. After my TownHome was broken into, the Property Manager DID NOT ALERT the Residents about the danger that occurred on the Property. Last year My Neighbor's Apartment was also Burglarized, and of course, the Residents were NOT NOTIFIED about that Incident either. I informed the Owner, Mr. Whitfield about my Break- In, and of course, he said "The Property Manager did not inform him about the crime that had occurred". WOW! I was truly lost for words. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE CONSTANT BURGLARIES, BUG PROBLEMS, HIGH ELECTRIC BILLS, DUE TO AN OLD BUILDING, A LEAKING ROOF, TOILET AND SEWER OVERFLOWS IN YOUR HOUSE, SLOW MAINTENANCE, POOR STREET LIGHTING AND BAD MANAGEMENT. They are the apartments from hell and so are they people in the office.... cockroaches, filth, broken fridge, soaking wet carpets, mold, mildew, leaky sinks, smells, and the list goes on and on... I have refused to pay our pet deposit until they fix everything, and been here a month and still only fixed a couple of things after my having to call the office every day numerous times a day with nobody calling me back... saying they would come to visit things and not show up and no call either... Then I would have to start calling again day after day leaving message after message with nothing until I finally get ahold of someone in the office....I will be suing them and moving out as soon as I find another place.... DON'T MOVE IN HERE, the neighbor wears an ankle monitor which we were not notified of, they fight all hours of the night, sell drugs out of the apartment all hours of the night, have no respect for anyone living near them, I have complained daily with again, NO results from the office..... I stayed there for a few years as time went by they showed there true colors. They dont come out and fix anything when you place your work order yet their maintenance guy rides around in his truck all day. The funny thing is when your late on rent thats when you hear from or see them the most and to top all things off they dont report any of your time you lived there to the credit place.
