it's a shame that a restaurant in such a nice setting has such horrible service. Yesterday we sat over an hour waiting for the entree. The excuse by the owner is that they were hosting a party. But in between no one came to the table apologizing. Simple inexcusable for a $20+ restaurant. The bread that came to the table was at least 3 days old, they refused to serve water to the outside tables, we were forced to buy a bottle of water. My ""espetada"" was simply horrible, the fries that came with it were not fresh. This was a terrible experience. The owner triple-booked the upstairs and the family reunion that we had planned for many months was a disaster. Family members came from great distances to experience loud music (there was no partition between us and the other groups), the food was thrown at us, it was cold and bland - certainly NOT good Portuguese food. We were all so embarrassed and very upset. The owner of this restaurant is after the money and has no regard for his customers. I will never return and will tell all my friends about this experience. The food is awesome, good portion sizes, service is great, the prices are very reasonable, people are very friendly. You might have to wait a little while for a table depending on the time you go, but it's worth the wait. Whiled your waiting you can always go to the bar and have a couple of drinks. If you have a party of 4 or more you can make a reservation and you will have a shorter wait. ...read more
