We hosted a b-day dinner for a staff member on July 24. What started out as a pleasant evening turned into the worst dining experiences any of us have ever had. As a former restaurant owner and chef I do hold other establishments up to scrutiny knowing the business, however also give kudos when deserved and slack were others may not. I have never had a cook exit the line come to the table and curse at his customers for his mistakes such as preparing the wrong items, over cooking a steak (should I say burning a steak that had been ordered medium) and walking away from the table muttering BullS-- when called out on his poor behavior. From service, to food presentation, to the rude woman who owns the establishment who stated that the cook did not abuse us but was merely rude, and if we did not like it we could just leave but make sure we paid the check before exiting. I couldn't believe all of the nice things that they make and sell. They have a great deal on flowers especially roses. If you own a log cabin or like that decor like I do, you need to go to this place. The owner makes all of his stuff. Unlike that cheap imported stuff you find in most stores. We purchased an large outhouse that we will be using as a shed and guess what, it only cost $200.00. I seen this outhouse priced at $450 and up at other places. It's too bad that the only vet available in Tunkhannock is not passionate about his career choice... and it shows. I've spent thousands over the years taking my animals to his facility because they are a very important part of my life. Recently, my cat had surgery and a few days later (on a Saturday) an abscess formed. Because it was on the weekend, Dr. McDonough was unable to be reached. I called around and ended up driving almost an hour away to make sure my pet received proper medical attention. The Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital staff members were amazing. It made me realize how much they care for animals compared to my previous veteterinarian. Today, my pet is healthy and doing very well. I refuse to go back to Dr. McDonough's in the future and have spoken with several other pet owners who feel the same. ...read more

I have been going to Upper Cuts for almost five years now. I will not go anywhere else for cuts, colors, waxes, trims, anything. Even updo's. Everytime I've gotten my hair done for a dance it has been there, I'm even going there to have my hair done for prom. All the girls are so nice and really get to know you and remember you. 8 people purchased cars , 8 of those cars came with a FREE ENGINE LIGHT. Then while while you make you payments on time, Griffin has them in his gagrage repairing over half the time. When you get them back weeks later they only fix 1/4 of the probleums, so you return them to his garage over and over again to be repaired. We hear about money being raised for the humane society and that they have over $70,000 in their banking accounts. What is being done with that money besides collecting interest? Money is received from grants for the spay/neuter program but I never see anything given to the animals of the county or programs to help these animals.
