This place is awesome! I had no idea that Philly had a museum like this. The Egyptian gallery had mummies, sarcophigi, and a giant stone sphinx. The place was clean and the the staff was really friendly. The place is right across the bridge from the franklin institute area and we parked at Campus Park and Ride which has free weekend parking if you are going to the museum. Definately a must see! ...read more

ACES MUSEUM is asking for names of WWII Veterans whether they are with us or deceased. Invited guests for the Remembrance Day Acknowledgement include: AllWWII Veterans&family members, with an emphasis on Impactful Minorities from the 1940’s (African American, Latino American, Asian American, Native American, Women, Athletes & Entertainers) Members of the NAACP, Red Cross, Salvation Army,as well as others Events at ACES MUSEUM – 5801-03 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144 1. Medal Presentation (Pinup Models to Accompany WWII Vets) 12 pm – 1 pm 2. ACES Canteen (Live tribute performances of various artists 1940’s) 1 pm – 5 pm 3. Veterans History Project (Documenting veteran’s history) 1 pm – 5 pm ACES MUSEUMhosts the National Pearl Remembrance Day for Minorities at ACES Museum, located at the restored historic Parker Hall (a functioning USO for black soldiers during WWII) in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA. In conjunction with NABVETS, we seek to “Respect The Past and Nurture the Future” by celebrating the veterans that fought Fascism overseas and civilians that battled Racism at home, this includes the athletes, entertainers and civilians of the 1940’s era. ACES MUSEUM houses the Philadelphia Chapter ofNABVETS. NABVETS - National Association of Black Veterans, Inc.consists of Regional Commands, State Commands, and local Chapters. The Association consists of eight primary regions with Regional Commands for the purpose of addressing geographical issues, concerns or programs. NABVETS has been a veterans’ advocacy organization and has addressed the unmet needs of minority and economically disadvantaged veterans since its inception in 1973. For over 25 years, NABVETS has led the challenge to call attention to the plight of veterans who have been victims of Agent Orange, Post Traumatic Stress, less than honorable discharges, amnesty for Vietnam era veterans, homelessness and a myriad of other veterans concerns. Along with its claims services staff, NABVETS works in collaboration with the National Veterans Legal Service Program, the most prominent law firm in representing veterans’ claims. NOTICE: Honor of your WWII family member, friend or just sponsor a veteran, by purchasing a brick with their name engraved. ACES MUSEUM will be paving the sidewalk with bricks with WWII veterans on the unit block of E. Price Street and the 5800 block of Germantown Avenue odd number side. This project is projected to be facilitated by the National Day of Honor for Minorities of World War II on Saturday, May 25, 2013. President Bill Clinton designated May 25 as the National Day of Honor for Minorities of World War II and ACES MUSEUM commemorated this in 2009.
