I hope to save other people from the worst landlord I've rented from in my life. The house we rented was almost 100 years old with major structural issues. In just a year and a half the already slanted floor sank worse and worse. We were worried it would collapse but the landlord wouldn't do anything about it until I called the code inspector. The ONLY thing they fix is the heat, and even that is a hassle. The rent was low but it wasn't worth it between the cost of doing our own repairs and the ridiculous cost of oil heat in an old house that no one bothered to update with proper insulation! Not to mention our unit was advertised as non-smoking but the previous tenants had smoked the walls yellow and the landlord did absolutely NOTHING to clean the unit before we moved in! The worst people to rent from in Lancaster county! If your home needs maintenance you had best brace yourself to deal with the issue for a long time because they will be in no hurry to fix whatever the issue is. Some tenants have rat droppings throughout homes, floors that are weak and sinking in, no hot water, leaks from bathrooms down to your 1st floor, and disgusting mold! A way to describe the Akron Group is cheap and above all GREEDY! Whatever corners they can cut they will, whatever they can charge you for they will ( even when it's their issue).
