Prior to finding The Distinguished Image, I was bouncing around from salon to salon for years. It's great to have finally found a stylist that I'm happy enough to stick with. Christine knows what I like and always gives me a fabulous cut and awesome color. Even better, she does it at lower prices then I had been paying for the same services! That's what I call a win-win. Thanks, Christine! :o) ...read more

Besides getting one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten another reason I love Christine is I asked for just a trim and she did just that usually I asked for a trim at prior salons and their idea of a trim was over 2 inches. The Distinguished Image is very reasonable and the staff is extremley nice. I finally found my salon ...read more

XanGo gets new top leadership

XanGo gets new top leadership XanGo LLC has named a new chief executive officer and president, completing a leadership reorganization that saw its founders gradually relinquish their daily duties and assume full-time roles on the board of directors.    Robert Conlee, a top executive at Nu Skin Enterprises, was named CEO, XanGo said Thursday. Conlee replaces XanGo founder Aaron Garrity, who became chairman of the Lehi-based nutritional drink maker earlier this month.    A. Craig Hale was promoted to president from chief legal counsel of XanGo. He replaces Kent Wood, a founder who also becomes a full-time director. The appointments of Conlee and Hale conclude a restructuring that began about 18 months ago as XanGo's founders gradually changed how the company is led, spokesman Bob Freeze said.    XanGo was founded in 2002 by Garrity, Wood, Gary Hollister, Joe Morton, Gordon Morton and Bryan Davis. The six had dual roles as top officers and board members. That structure worked when the company was small but is outmoded today, Freeze said.    "When you start to have a global reach [the company's mangosteen fruit-based products are sold in 23 countries] and have a million distributors, you need help," he said.   At Nu Skin, Conlee was senior vice president of sales and marketing and chief operatingofficer of the Provo-based direct sales company's Pharmanex nutritional division. Healso was president of Nu Skin Japan and the company's north Asia division, where he workedwith several hundred thousand distributors.    Hale has been XanGo's chief lawyer for three years. A year ago, he took on the added role of chairman of the company's senior executive team.    pbeebe@sltrib.com ...read more

Anticipation Building for the Official Launch of Glimpse™

Glimpse first to offer personal care products featuring the benefits of topical mangosteen nutrition LEHI, UT – October 14, 2008 – Just more than three weeks away from the sixth annual international convention for global nutrition leader XanGo, LLC, anticipation is building for the official U.S. and Canada launch of Glimpse™ Intuitive Skin Care. The personal care brand is poised to create the category for mangosteen topical nutrition in a similar fashion to what XanGo® Juice did in 2002 when it brought the benefits of mangosteen internal consumption to a global market. Reflecting XanGo's ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, and amid continuing scientific studies demonstrating the harmful effects of toxins and chemicals in most personal care products, XanGo has created Glimpse. It features green chemistry to provide a clean, toxin-free delivery that naturally nourishes the skin. "Glimpse is a natural, strategic extension of our business, and we're proud to take the lead again by creating the category for topical skin nutrition from the mangosteen fruit," said XanGo Founder and Board Chairman/CEO Aaron Garrity.  "What XanGo Juice brought to the world six years ago in terms of creating a category and introducing a groundfloor business opportunity, Glimpse will offer for topical mangosteen nutrition. The difference is that six years later we are in 23 countries with a sophisticated infrastructure and one million independent distributors to support the launch of Glimpse." A personal care brand unlike any other, Glimpse features exclusive ingredients from the mangosteen delivered through a proprietary BioActive X3 Complex™. The result is a clean, high-performing skin nutrition system that protects your skin and the environment. "We are conscious both of the fact that you are what you absorb and what we put into the environment eventually returns to our bloodstream," said XanGo Senior Vice President Beverly Hollister.  "XanGo has used clean ingredients in Glimpse that do not mutate or harm any organisms downstream, protecting the environment we all live in." Consistent with the Glimpse green and clean promise, Hollister said that XanGo has signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics where it pledges that all the products in Glimpse meet the EU formulation standards and are free of chemicals known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects. "Glimpse combines old world wisdom with advanced and customized biofermentation technology from Japan to maximize the potent power of xanthones and phytonutrients from the mangosteen," Hollister said. "XanGo leads with a conscious choice to formulate safe products, made from natural ingredients, free from harmful chemicals and toxins; yet, these systems perform and deliver results, bringing balance, harmony and radiance to your skin." The "intuitive" nature of Glimpse refers to its self-adjusting formulas designed to address the ever-changing needs of a person's skin.  The more someone uses it – men and women of all ages and ethnicities living in all climates – the more its nutrients target specific needs.  In the process, it soothes and calms the skin while promoting natural luminosity. Glimpse™ Intuitive Skin Care includes two basic systems: one providing nutrition for normal to dry skin and the other designed for normal to combination skin.  Both systems include a cleanser, toner, serum and moisturizer.  Competitively priced, either system retails for $200. The BioActive X3 Complex found in both systems is comprised of three exclusive xanthone-rich ingredients that contain 30 times more antioxidant potency than green tea, according to Japanese in-vitro studies. Those same studies demonstrate that BioActive X3 Complex has been shown to calm the signs of inflammation, promote natural collagen production and protect the skin against the oxidizing effects of free radicals.*   Glimpse is available as of November 7 in the United States and Canada, and international launch plans will be announced in the future. The personal care brand can be purchased from XanGo's extensive network of 1 million independent distributors. About XanGo XanGo, LLC is a recognized category creator as the first company to market a premium mangoosteen beverage, XanGo® Juice, to consumers worldwide. XanGo continues to lead the category by driving the research, development and advancement of functional mangosteen products. Based in Utah, XanGo is privately owned and powered by a global network of independent distributors. XanGo's expansive operations include the U.S. and numerous international markets such as Canada, Mexico, Japan, Germany and Malaysia. ...read more

How To Maintain Healthy Skin

Healthy skin is an essential part of health and natural beauty. Good skin is a reflection of inner health. Healthy skin is priceless and it deserves effective and safe solutions because after all, no one wants to pay their hard earned money for a product that doesn’t even work. Many new skin products became available to the market and each and everyone say they have the best results that even the savviest consumer can be overwhelmed searching for the “best” product. Healthy skin is a most important element of a great looking face. It is simple to achieve and is a critical thing you can do for yourself.Healthy skin is very effective as our first line of defense, but in our present environment where harmful substances are such an integral part of our everyday lives that our skin can use a little help in doing its job. Derma Shield helps maintain healthy skin by protecting it from harmful or annoying stimuli that causes chafing, chapping and cracking while providing soothing moisturizers.Healthy skin is moist, not dry. Yet many guys choose soaps that suck moisture from the skin like a desert sun at high noon. Healthy skin is resistant to cracking in cold weather and does not tear as easily, reducing injuries to the occasional mechanic or weekend carpenter. This is because the skin is more pliant; it will simply push in rather than break and cause the nicks and scrapes that so often result when doing the above-mentioned activities.Lipids and fats in the skin provide the epidermal barrier to transcutaneous water loss. These lipids in the upper skin area called the stratum corneum are arranged in layers called lamellae. Lipids, or fats, make up about a third of the outer layer of skin. Wash these away with soaps or solvents and you leave the skin flaky, irritated, and less able to withstand environmental insults.Certain vitamins and minerals are crucial to youthful skin, including sulfur. In its natural form from foods such as garlic, onions, eggs and asparagus, sulfur with help to keep skin smooth and youthful. Certainly not the suitable soundtrack for a documentary on eating disorders but fun nonetheless.Vitamin B plays a pivotal role in maintaining a healthy skin. So, diet that is rich in Vitamin B can go a long way in skin health. Vitamin C is needed to form healthy collagen, the primary supporting structure of the skin and arteries. Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), alpha lipoic acid, L-carnitine and acetyl l-carnitine provide a powerful combination of both protective antioxidants and nutrients to power the Kreb’s cycle (the body’s energy source). Vitamins C, E and B Complex and a diet that includes plenty of dark green, leafy vegetables will help prevent dry skin conditions. Consider supplementing essential fatty acids (flax seed oil or EPA enriched fish oil). Many times in our busy world we don’t get to eat as healthy as we would like to, nor do we have much time left to take care of our skin. For the first time on the market a simple, easy to use, organic, clean, green formulation is here. Take a look, and you will be so very pleasantly surprised – guaranteed to bring a smile to your face because it is more than just about a pretty face :http://www.JulieBooz.com ...read more
