Pat Twyman's Car Center

1.0

By JackAnthony

The buying experience was good. Pat is a nice old guy. But the quality of cars is horrible, he won't hold up to agreements. His "financing" is $200 flat fee. The cars are all on the low end. Most of them are salvages with tons of defects/accidents and are not safe to drive. They junkyard the parts and barely put them back together. Just enough they make it off the lot. The car had broken down dozens of times. I put as much in repairs as I did for the car. I went through three cars trying to find one that would last out the 30 days "warranty". Each time there was a swap, new loan, new $200 fee. If you miss a payment, don't expect legal debt collection. after being 3 weeks behind on my final payment (after 8 months of payments) he took my car. ...read more

Best preschool in Oregon?

I belong to a number of usergroups, from MamaSource.com to Parents.com.  I write people back who are having trouble with their child's violent outbursts, potty training, or learning to write.  But I was recently asked what the Best Preschool in Oregon was.  I thought it was a humorous question at first because I run two daycares in Aloha, Oregon.  Duhhhh!  I am going to answer Bright Start Care.  But I thought about it for a bit before responding.  People expect me to be objective about my answers online.  They expect that I know what I am talking about because I have over 6 years working with my own daycare / preschool businesses and 5 additional years as a nanny. I thought about how my answer should be objective, researched and simple.  My school is not the best answer for all of Oregon, since I mainly serve Reedville, Hazeldale and Butternut Elementary Schools in Hillboro, Beaverton and Aloha Oregon.  So.... how do I answer this question? I decided to take this question on as a personal challenge.  Which schools really are the best in Oregon.  Okay, that's a broard range, so let's start with Washington County.  What are the best schools in Washington County from a peer's standpoint.  Shouldn't there be food critics of the education world?  Shouldn't there be someone that makes schools accountable to their quality and care standards?  I am your girl!!!!  Stay tuned for more.... I will create a core set of qualities, rating system and more to assess preschool and childcare programs by.  It's more than just first impressions - it's the world first view of what your child does every day and how it impacts their day.  It's Nanny 911 in a group setting.  How to handle large groups, what a school should look like, how they should communicate with parents, and much more!!!! ...read more
