Not only are the people who work there the sweetest things to me, they are always more then happy to order anything I need, and get it there in a day or two. I have only had problems with two people working there for the many years I've been going and they are fired now so it's just amazing. I wanted to like Nomad. The studio had been recommended by a friend, and I didn't want to take my daughter to get gunned by a teenager at the mall.\t\n\t\nThe initial impression was good. Blake's daughter, who's a friendly kid, checked us in and ran my credit card. After signing the form, Blake led us into the back room for the piercing.\t\n\t\nUnfortunately, after seeing the needle, my daughter lost her nerve. After a few minutes, it was clear that it wasn't going to happen, so we prepared to leave. That's when I learned that I wasn't going to get any kind of refund.\t\n\t\nNot wanting to really get into it with the kids there, I left the shop and went back to work. I called Blake later in the afternoon to discuss it. He said that there was a piece of paper taped to the underside of the counter glass that spelled out his "chicken out" policy. Unfortunately, neither he nor his daughter took a second to at least point that out before I signed my credit card receipt. I am not doubting that the paper is there, but the counter and register are littered with little handwritten messages, so nothing really stands out.\t\n\t\nI pointed out that we didn't even take the earrings. While he did offer them to me if I wanted to drive back to the shop, there was no point in doing that, as she couldn't wear them. I debated with him awhile longer, but he adamantly refused to give me a partial refund.\t\n\t\nSo, the bottom line is that I spent $60 on a single needle and 5 minutes of his time. There were no other customers in the shop during our visit, so we weren't even distracting him from other business.
