Contractor contracted to wire garage addition, including recessed four-lamp troffers and residential spacing of electrical outlets. Four-lamp troffers were said to be non-available locally, leading the customer to accept--reluctantly--three-lamp troffers with resulting lumen deficit. The customer later found that three-lamp recessed fixtures of the type needed were available and could have been provided through a local wholesaler. The lighting loss will be permanent despite the resort to higher output 32 watt T8 lamps lamps. Residential spacing of electrical outlets was only partially provided by the contractor as he failed to provide an outlet on a short wall.
