Castaways Tini Tiki Hut
By JohnS164 at Citysearch March 15, 2012
Consistency was lacking. The chief is outspoken and rude to his customers. Its not reality TV. People are paying for service. You want the public to give this place a break? Then try being professional when dealing with your customers. Lose the attitude and focus on delivering a consistently high quality product. ...read more
Castaways Tini Tiki Hut
By LakeOGal at Citysearch March 11, 2012
On a weekend trip to the coast, we longed for some warm, yummy soup to go. I had read the FABULOUS reviews elsewhere and was excited to try Castaways.\t\n\t\nThis is a very small restaurant, and appears family/friend run. Although it was cold and blustery last night, there were many brave souls out in CB hoping to be seated for an excellent meal here. I suspect we all got what we wanted!\t\n\t\nI know take out is an issue for small, busy restaurants, and I was so pleased that I was able to order the sumptuous seafood soup from the friendly gal handling the bar. People were waiting for tables, the small staff was clealy busy, so I appreciated their welcoming attitude towards my simple order.\t\n\t\nThe soup (chowder?) was divine. It had just the right amount of spices, was chock full of whitefish and shrimp in a broth that was topped with just a hint of cream. It was the perfect meal for a cold and rainy night. Had I ordered a side of bread, it would have been even better.\t\n\t\nI did take a peek at the creative menu, which is best described as fusion cuisine. Carribean, Mediterranean...some Asian dishes like ahi. All in all, the menu is quite fun, with a little bit of funk as well. I seriously cannot wait to go back when we can have a sit down meal which I promise will include one of the beautiful adult beverages I watched being created, a glass of wine off of their nice wine list, some appetizers/tapas, and a sure to be delicious entree. And, don't forget the seafood soup!\t\n\t\nI am sorry that a pervious reviewer from September had a bad evening. Sometimes you just have a bad experience for a variety of reasons. Please do not be put off by this.... I found the staff to be quite nice, and they all tried very hard. Give a small business owner in Oregon a break! \t\n\t\nIf you want a fun menu with creative food and are willing to pay a fair price for the experience, give Castaways a try. I can't wait to be back in CB, hopefully in the very near future so I can enjoy this sweet little restaurant to the fullest.\t\n\t\n ...read more
Sabra Js Attic
By Sandy Adams January 28, 2011
I discovered Sabra J's Attic years ago on a trip to the Oregon coast. I live in Tacoma Wa. I fell in love with everything about this little gem. My husband knows that when we are traveling to the Oregon coast we will be stopping there. The owner is a sweetie. I have bought many things over the years from Sabra J's and will continue to do so as long as they are in business. See you soon. ...read more
Center Diamond

This store is a joke and an embarassment to the community. It is overpriced by a thousand percent and the fabrics are not only more abundant elsewhere but half the price. I, for one, will never ever go back there and will advise my friends to the benefits of shopping elsewhere... -Viglant ...read more
Stephanie Inn

We have been here twice this summer. They offer a fixed course menu with excellent northwest dishes. Steaks have been great, crab risotto was excellent, and the wine pairings are well planned. I would have given 5 stars, however; with a coastal restaurant you would expect an ocean view for the location, but like others have said, it is of the parking lot. However; view aside, the service and food are great and this place is definitely worth a visit. ...read more

I am not sure why this store even has a open sign. Back in 10 minute sign was on the door, I know we waited 45 minutes! I want to the thank the witch that works there I found out that by going on line I found that I could save big dollars. Thankfully I did not go and shop there ...read more

The Birkenstock Plus

No sign showing when open. I had to come back twice to find someone there. Then I waited while the woman was on the phone for at least five minutes with no acknowledgement or interaction. I wanted to buy a pair of expensive shoes and she preferred to talk on the phone. The result? I left and will never return. If that was the owner she should sell it. If an employee she should be fired. ...read more

Have sampled fudge from all over the united states and this was the best most creamy fudge I have ever had. The carmel corn was the best too. I have learned through the years that when a candy store provides free samples they are confident in their product. ...read more
Driftwood Inn Rest & Lounge

My daughter had the crab special here on 02/26 and got violently ill. She ended up in/out of the bathroom for 24 full hours. We know it was the crab b/c she hadn't eaten for approx 8 hrs before we had dinner here. And I had a couple bites and also felt ill later. Luckily for me, I was only mildly ill - unfortunately for her she ate the whole thing and was sicker then she's EVER been. Went to the restaurant the next day to complain and couldn't even find an onsite manager to talk with. Did get the name of the mangers tho and will be contacting them as soon as we return from our trip. DON'T EAT HERE!!!!!!!!! It's not worth the risk. Spoke with a bakery owner in town and told her what happened. She said "they aren't doing very well, I hear. . ." NO KIDDING! ...read more
Morris' Fireside Restaurant

I drove from Portland just to have crab at the beach.. Don't order the Crab melt sandwich unless you want a mayonnaise sandwich with a few pieces of crab and cheese on top. It was $21.00 and it probably had 5.00 worth of crab $16.00 worth of mayonnaise or some mixture. It was 4 PM, only one server, very slow.. nice person but the wait was awful as was the crab melt... ...read more
Mos Restaurant
By Trendmark at Citysearch October 07, 2009
I've lived in Oregon all my life and have been going to Mo's since I was a kid. I've always thought their food was pretty good. I generally order the fish/chips and clam chowder when I'm there. They are both great! I'm a little dissapointed at how much prices have jumped over the past 10 - 15 years though. I dine out quite often in the Portland area, and prices have only gone up slightly here. Mo's prices have gone up faster than most. Also, last time we were there (Sept. 09) my wife had the salmon but didn't like it at all......a little dry. Anyway, we will definitely still go to Mo's about once a year, but it certainly won't be as much as we used to......2 - 4 times a year. Enjoy the beach while you are there! =) ...read more
Dueber's for Variety
By M. Jack August 27, 2009
WARNING!!!!! THIS STORE CARRIES STUFFED ANIMALS MADE FROM THE FUR OF HORRIFICALLY TORTURED DOGS, CATS & RABBITS FROM CHINA. When politely asked to stop one year ago - they refused. They don't care about one bit about the animals - all they care about is putting money in their pockets. It's Greed of the worst kind. Of all the items to sell (and they do) there is no need to perpetuate the Hell on earth these poor creatures endure. PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS STORE UNTIL THEY STOP SELLING FUR THAT'S BEEN RIPPED OF THE BACKS OF LIVE SCREAMING ANIMALS. And don't believe them when they tell you the fur is from "humanely" slaughtered animals from the meat industry - they will lie to you. I tested them and they lied to me.
