I went through the program in 2008. I was sick and tired of being a drunk. It was pretty hard with lots of rules and meetings every night. Sometimes 2 meetings a night for a while. Anyway, I wanted something different for my life. This place helped me get there. I would recommend it for guys who are serious about getting sober or clean. But not for guys just trying to slide through. ...read more

I have used crews from HOW for several years and have always been pleased with their discipline, diligence and courtesy. They have trimmed trees, done miscellaneous yard work and helped me with heavy lifting and moving. I have recommended them many times and expect to use them again soon. Green Country & Tulsa
Not widely known outside Oklahoma, the NE section of the State is appropriately called"Green Country."The area is generally heavily-wooded and has a high degree of rolling hills, mountains and foliage as opposed to other areas of the State which tend to be more arid. With average annual rainfall in the area of 40 inches per year, Green Country is considerably wetter and greener than most of the state. How much rain is 40 inches per year? Well, look at it this way --- by comparison, Seattle, know for its prevailing moisture, has an average annual rainfall of 36.6 inches per year. That's why NE Oklahoma is called Green Country. At the heart of Green Country is Tulsa, the State's 2nd largest city. Situated on a bend in the Arkansas River, Tulsa was originally settled by the Creek Tribe after theTrail of Tearsin 1836. The discovery of oil was the impetus for rapid growth during the early 1900s earning Tulsa the title of "Oil Capital of the World." While that title is no longer applicable, Tulsa is still referred to as the "buckle" of the "Bible Belt" due to its heavy concentration of Christian churches, colleges and universities. The Tulsa Port of Catoosa,is the head of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System which routes freight via the Verdigris River into the Arkansas River and on into the Mississippi River. The Port is Oklahoma's largest and ships manufactured goods and agricultural products to domestic and international markets. With the Tulsa International Airport a mere 15-minutes away, the Tulsa Port of Catoosa is an economic powerhouse for Green Country and beyond.
