I had some film processed here recently. When I picked it up I found that the negatives were scratched and the prints were unusable due to some kind of flaw with the KC equipment. The lady selling me the prints told me the owner wasn't around so she couldn't offer a discount. She admitted that the prints were damaged by their equipment while at the same time trying to convince me the damage her lab caused to my film and prints were my fault. I shoot a ton of film, and don't always make time to process it myself. This year I took several rolls to KC for processing and printing. EVERY roll was scratched, and one set of prints was so messy from their equipment that I couldn't use them. The worst part is, each time I brought up my concerns, the people at KC did everything to try and convince me that somehow all the scratches and flaws were my fault. They were always very rude, even when I wasn't addressing their shortcomings. Needless to say, there were no apologies, no discounts, and I'll never go there again. Even the owner tried to tell me that my camera had caused the scratches on my negatives, while admitting they don't have the proper equipment to safely process rolls.
