Pharmacy technicians on average earn $26,000 yearly, according to the United States Department of Labor. Some employers of pharmacy technicians do not require extensive educational backgrounds. However, with at least a certification you will increase your earnings potential vastly.
How to Become a Pharmacy Technician:
Step 1: Choose a college or community college that offers the pharmacy technician program.
Step 2: File an application for the pharmacy technician program. You should include a copy of your official high school transcripts, your high school diploma and/or your G.E.D. If you need financial aid, file an application for it at this time.
Step 3: Schedule and take the licensing/certification exam.
Step 4: Apply for pharmacy technician positions. Open positions are listed in the local newspaper, job boards and online.
