Craven's Home Inspection Svc

I appreciate your willingness to go the extra mile. Your report goes above and beyond what I had seen previously on inspection, I will be utilizing your services again in addition to referring anyone in need of your services. The report and diagrams were clear and concise. If it were not for your expertise I would have bought a house in major disrepair, so thank you so much for that; the minimal cost for your services saved me thousands of dollars. I can not begin to thank you enough. ...read more
Craven's Home Inspection Svc

Searching for a Home Inspector in Tulsa, OK from a distance (NY) was not so easy. I searched through Google which listed so many of them it made my task even more difficult, but I got on the phone and began calling them one by one and carefully listening to what they had to say. After screening most of the Home Inspectors, I decided to contract with Charles Cravens who was very comforting when we spoke. He sounded as though he truly knew his business. I met him at the house on the day of the inspection. He diligently looked over the house with a keen eye which was exactly what I wanted. I could tell that Charles was extremely experienced at this. He took time to explain things to me and not just looking to hurry through my inspection, which I also thought was very rewarding. It was money well spent and why I'm taking time out to give him this Kudos. If you need a home inspection, Charles is a true professional. ...read more
Rock Solid Materials, LLC

We wanted a boulder for our front yard, drilled, with water cascading over it, but didn't have a clue as to what to look for! We had looked at other companies which offered no help at all. At Rock Solid we were shown several options with suggestions on where the hole might be drilled and how the water would flow. A full description was given of the work that would need to be done to prepare the site, the price was reasonable, the workmanship superb, and the clean-up complete. We were so pleased with the project that we had them deliver and set up a stone bench as well--the finishing touch. We highly recommend Rock Solid Materials. ...read more

Wood Floor FAQ
When is the best season of the year to have my hardwood floor installed or refinished? -Hardwood floor jobs (installation&refinish;) can be done all year long. During different seasons we utilize different procedures to control humidity and moisture effects on the wood. What is the difference between an engineered hardwood floor and a solid hardwood floor? -Pre finished wood comes from a factory already stained and finished ready to install on your floor. Real wood comes to your home raw, unfinished. We install the wood then the customer picks a stain color and we finish the floor with polyurethane in your home. How long will my hardwood floor project take to install or refinish? -If we are installing lets say, 1000 sqft. of hard wood, typically we will have the floor installed within 2-3 days. After the installation you are looking at another 2 days to sand and stain the floor. Next we apply polyurethane, 3 coats roughly take 12 hours per coat to allow time for the poly to dry. Generally speaking you can expect your project to be completely finished in about a week. How long should I stay off the new floor once its installed? -24 hours What procedures should be used to clean my hardwood floor? -We recommend using a Bona Wood Floor Cleaning Kit, which we will provide to all our clients once we finish an install or sand and finish your floor. How long til i can deep clean my wood floor? -After a new install, we recommend waiting at least 6 months before performing a deep cleaning, after 6 months we suggest you consider a deep clean every 3 months to keep your floor looking new. Why do you put felt down in the subfloor when installing a wood floor? -The felt helps to create a moisture barrier so that the longevity of your floor can be maintained. What makes Premier Wood Floor better then your competitors? -We have our own staff of trained professionals on site ready to install your floor and answer any questions you might have, we do not hire outside subcontractors. We stand by our work with a guarantee that you will be happy with your new wood floor. Customer satisfaction is our #1 priority. ...read more

Rock Gardens
Do you have an area of your landscape where it is difficult to grow grass and plants due to a rocky spot or a slope? Do you have an area of your landscape that is heavily shaded or is pounded by the sun making design options very limited? Do you find it challenging to find the time to water your grass and plants in the summer heat? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, then you might consider adding a rock garden to your landscape design. A nice backyard doesn’t always mean thick, green grass and an abundance of plants and flowers. A rock garden is a great alternative to high-maintenance plants, flowers, and grasses because it does not require a lot of upkeep. A rock garden is also ideal because it can survive any type of climate and terrain. Rock gardens are most effective in parts of the yard that are significantly dry, but are also very beautiful in areas of a yard that tend to have a lot of water run-off. In a sunny, dry area, make sure to select plants and flowers that do not require a lot of fertilization or watering and that thrive from full sun. In shady areas, or areas with a lot of water run-off, would be a great place to use rocks and boulders to create an area to resemble a miniature river bed or a tranquil rock garden. Constructing a rock garden isn’t challenging, but there is some design work involved and it requires a little planning. We, at Rock Solid Materials, can help you design your rock garden and select the perfect rocks and boulders for your landscape. Having a rock garden in your landscape design will make your house and property look great and add value to your home!
