On my drive to work @5:45 this morning on Virginia Route 66 between Haymarket and Fairfax, I observed scary, unsafe driving of your truck # 549. As I was trying to merge onto 66 from Rt 15, Haymarket, the traffic was very heavy. I saw your truck coming East.... in the right lane... I had to merge, and knew I had plenty of time. I kept checking my mirrors as I merged. Next thing I know, Truck 549 was BEARING DOWN and I had to very quicly accelerate in order to get onto 66 without being HIT by this truck. My other alternative would've been to slam my brakes so that truck 549 could scream on past me, which would've caused the driver behind me to have issues. Then, later down the highway, coming upon Manassas, I had moved to the far left lane. I came upon Truck 549 in the middle lane to my right. He was ON THE BUMPER of a car in front of him! THEN where Rt 50 merges onto 66 at Fairfax, a tandem was trying to merge left, and truck 549 passed the truck only INCHES away. UNSAFE ...read more
