We have experienced many different insects within the apartment throughout our lease. Garbage near the main bins are usually overflowing, which compromises sanitation. Nearby shopping carts are usually found in this community instead of at their stores. Management not responsive on repairs and not a priority. Found a mouse in our apartment and was able to catch. Absolutely horrible. The buildings have such poor insulation that I can hear EVERY single footstep of people walking above me, every toilet flushing, and people speaking and closing closet doors in the neighboring unit. The staff, particularly the apartment manager, are rude and unprofessional and dishonest. Do not trust anything they tell you during the showing because they do not honor any verbal agreement made during the showing. You are at their mercy whether and when they fulfill the agreement because they see that as a courtesy rather than legally binding. Also beware of hidden costs that the management do not want you to know until you show interest. These costs include water, sewer, pest control, garbage disposal, common area electric, and--get this--administrative fee, that are typically included in the rent elsewhere but Somerset charges you separately in addition to the already-very-high rent. ...read more

This place appears very nice at first, personally i loved it.. Little did I know the staff is rude, management is terrible and service is non-existent. Ive not even been here 5 months and my water has been shut off at least once a month for water main brakes, my shower head has broke(took them 4 weeks to fix it), dishwasher flooded, shower and sink are constantly clogged, etc.. The walls are so thin we can hear everything the ppl under us say and do. The complex promises 24 hour gym and baskerball court but ive never once been able to get into the basketball court- always closed. Since the weathers gotten bad not once have the roads been cleared and salted- which they also promise is included. Bottomline ive lived in many dif complexs and this one is by far the worst!
