Swift Print

5.0

By LindaDawson

I have been using SwiftPrint since March of 05, and all I can say is great things about Dave and his shop! I place orders for business, along with personal prints. And have never had a problem with anything!! He does regular "job cards" for my company a few times a year, along with party invitations for myself and my mother. Even designed and donated fundraiser tickets for a benefit my best friend had when her little sister passed away!! And as an added bonus, he always has his dog in the shop :) ...read more

This has got to be one of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with. Very unprofessional management...almost childlike. Very poor quality signage and definitely overpriced. There are so many quality sign companies out there...steer clear of this one! ...read more

Total Voice Technologies

5.0

By cbojr

I was needing to switch to a digital transcription system for my medical transcription business. I had so many questions. I called so many online retailers. It seemed nobody wanted to take the time to answer my questions, until I called Total Voice Technologies. The sales representative completely answered all my questions. I made the purchase! But, I had even more questions once I received everything. I called my sales representative back who quickly transferred me to the support department. The support representative was just as helpful and helped me get everything setup! Thanks so much for the great sales and support! ...read more

Primer And Paint In One: Good Or Bad?

One Step Primer And Paint is the latest advance in paint MARKETING but not in painting ease, economy or quality.  The ads for these One Step paints make you think that you always should use primer.  That is not true.  Sometimes you need a primer but there are different primers for different purposes.  Simply put it may be overkill, adding extra cost to the can of paint and not saving you any time or effort. In a lot of instances you do not need to use primer.  First before you purchase anything find out if you do and then what type. Look at the label on a can of regular paint.  You probably could find one on sale. It will tell you if you need a primer for your project and what type. If you need to prime then these all-in-one paints may save you a step but look closely at their labels.  Some recommend  two coats to do the job properly or list special situations when you should prime first anyway.  In this case ask your self, "what is the point of spending extra money for this paint if I still need to do 2 steps?"  If you buy the proper primer and finish paint separately you might save money and most likely you will end up with better results. If you do not want to waste your time, money and energy using the wrong products, find out what you need first.  Then you can make an informed decision.  It is not hard.  The labels on most cans will provide you with the information you need to make a decision. Call or send an email if you need more help. Herb Jaffe ...read more

Too Hot!

It may be too hot to paint all day long right now but small projects can still be done if you are careful.  Early in the morning and evenings are fine if the Sun is not shining directly on the surface of your project. Painting in the shade is safe because its  the direct sun on the surface that will make the paint dry wrong, it may chip, peel, or look rough and flat ...read more
