Vanguard Temps is a real job placement agency - they placed me at my current job 8 years ago. \t\nSo many supposed employment agencies post numerous job opportunities online, only to have you go to their offices and spend valuable time registering with them, only to find there are no real jobs available! This is common in NY.\t\nBut Vanguard is different. They are not only upfront about what positions are actually available (and will tell you if there is nothing), but they will help you boost your office software skills in their office, and help you polish your resume if needed. I moved to New York after my husband got out of the military in 2007 and both of us were looking for work. After only being here a couple of weeks I looked in to temp agencies. The very day I submitted my resume from monster I received a call from a counselor. I went in right away to register and left the same day with a job!! As soon as my first assignment, which was a temp assignment, ended Vanguard immediately found me a position at a very large corporation with even better pay. Not long after they also found work for my husband! The counselors are professional, friendly and helpful and they even have free computer training in their office! Moving to New York from Florida, I didn't know what I was going to do to find employment or even where to start. \t\n\t\nMy brother's friend, who was temping at Vanguard, told him that I should go to Vanguard if I need to find a job. He gave me the number, I called and was easily set up with an appointment to go in and register the next day.\t\n\t\nGoing into the office and meeting all the ladies was a great experience and I knew that I was in good hands. My computer skills weren't great and they helped me to improve on every aspect that needed improvement. Two days later they called me with a temp assignment that would be starting the next day.\t\n\t\nWhen I finished the conversation on the phone, I was so excited and felt so lucky that I wanted to cry because I knew they were working hard to find me work.\t\n\t\nI was temping for Vanguard for 3 - 4 months before I was able to be one of those people that can say, "I have a permanent job," that I love and will continue to do my best.\t\n\t\nThank you again Vanguard Temporaries/Westchester, you made life for me in New York possible.\t\n\t\nI would definitely recommend to everyone that Vanguard Temporaries is where you should go if you want to succeed because the women there are the best at what they do. ...read more
