I contacted the management of Madison Towers with the intention of signing a lease with the company. My mail was replied by Lisa Daley the Assistant Manager who told me to send 2 separate money orders to her. One money order was to pay an application fee whilst the second was a security deposit for the apartment.I sent the cheques via Fedex and specifically requested they be signed for upon delivery.I tracked the parcel on Fedex's site and it stated it had been received and signed by Lisa Daley. When I contacted Lisa Daley to find out the status of my application, she claimed she was not with my cheques; she had no idea of their whereabout. I contacted my bank to place a hold on the cheques but I was told I had to wait 91 days before filing a hold request. This is obviously fraudulent because I was made to use a means of payment where my immediate response to their fraudulent activity will be limited. Please I am a student: I want my money back.
