We hired Brian S to seal our home against mice. The energy, comprehensive knowledge, and integrity that he brought to our project was notable and confidence inspiring. Brian S is an excellent communicator throughout the project and beyond. Most importantly, the results have been outstanding-we have not had any mice since.. He also solved other rodent and pest issues that we had lived with for years. We cannot recommend him too highly and feel fortunate that a chance encounter led us to him (if only it had been years earlier!). ...read more

My family and I have known Brian S for more than ten years and he and his team have completed a number of waterproofing and rodent proofing jobs at my house, my parents house and and my sister's house - each with excellent results. Brian S rodent proofed our house in 2000 - we have not had an issue since. Brian S also sealed cracks in the foundation in our basement - we have not had any moisture since. Besides the great results, Brian S is also a great guy and very professional to work with.? January 30, 2012 ...read more

Everyone has a Brian S story. At least 5 times during any extended relationship with him he will render some service, do some ta ask or make some suggestion that will make the ownership of your home a less complicated and more pleasant experience. It almost always relates to water and how to prevent it from destroying the value of your home. I resisted his advice to install a certain dehumidifier at my home until this past summer. I finally gave in. what a difference. It is drier and the device is quieter. He has great confidence in his opinions. If you let him he always gets the job done. ...read more

What should you be paying for basement waterproofing

This should be straight forward, but with all of the games local companies play it is not. So here goes people.Interior basement waterproofing should be priced at 49-53 dollars per linear foot. then you should be paying between 850-1,100 for a 1/2 HP cast iron sump pump installed in a proper basket with a cover and simple discharge.(PER 110 LINEAR FEET) Most local companies use wimpy 1/3 HP pumps and then look to upgrade you later for more money. There should be extensive preparation not only for the interior so you do not breath in cancer causing dust(silica), but also should be driveway prep as many customer find out too late about the concrete and debris mess left on your black top. The one thing you should be very careful of is the shady sales tactic of "the commercial price drop" as it is a lie every time. This is when the sales person gives you a price and then calls the office and they say they can give you a 1-5000$ discount if you do business right now. You should open the door for the sales person and see them through it!  I will update this blog and be happy to answer questions in the future. Here's to not getting played by your local waterproofing company. ...read more
