Carpani's Italian Grill
By PattyBianchi February 24, 2014
My boyfriend and I went to dinner on Friday, February 14. We got seated as soon as we walked in the door since we did have reservations at 7:00. Took a while for a waitress to come to our table and once one did, she apologized and said she took our table since she wasn’t sure who should have waited on us and she had time, so she would. OK. I ordered the Pork Braciole (very over cooked & tough, not what I remember as a child) and he ordered the special Shrimp Primavera. The minute the plate of shrimp primavera was set on the table, the odor was unreal. My boyfriend tasted the shrimp and new right away something was wrong. He cut me a piece to taste and the moment I put in my mouth, I spit the nasty shrimp out. It was definitely spoiled & rotten and should never, ever have been served. I can’t imagine from the cook on down to the server, no one could smell the rancid aroma. We called the waitress over to tell her the shrimp was spoiled only to be told she did not have her sense of smell, couldn’t smell a thing. Well, how convenient was that? My boyfriend ordered the prime rib instead. Not once did we get an apology from anyone at all in the restaurant. We were never offered any kind of discount at all or even the option to get the Prime Rib at the price we would have paid for the Shrimp Primavera. It was like the bad shrimp never came to our table. It is unacceptable how we were treated and someone should be held accountable for serving that nasty, spoiled shrimp to a paying customer. How no one ever smelled the foul odor of that shrimp before it hit our table is unbelievable to me and unacceptable. We got home that evening only to have my boyfriend deal with an upset stomach, along with vomiting throughout the entire night. We should have spoke up at the time, but we did not. After telling several people about the incident, they could not believe our meal was not paid for or no one ever came to the table and gave us an apology or offered to give my boyfriend a meal on the house for the inconvenience. We are in no hurry at all to Carpani's any time soon and I would hope after reading this, no one else will. I have e-mailed Carpani's only not to be acknowledged again. They have no idea at all what customer service is. ...read more

The Ravioli Shop
By synimatik at Citysearch March 31, 2012
They refused to honor my groupon. They literally had a freezer completely full of raviolis yet told me they didn't have enough to fulfill the groupon. I drove 15 minutes there, struggled to find parking, all with two young toddlers in tow. Only to have the refuse service which is clearly stated in the groupon was valid. I had groupon refund my money and will never go back there. Customer service is a complete joke. ...read more

Bacco's Ristorante
By review7 at Citysearch June 26, 2010
I went to eat there and have to admit the food is excellent, but the experience not so much. After we finished eating there (agree to the other reviews the owner is there and drinks and uses profanities in front of guests, scowls at staff), we went across the street to the cafe, and after an hour we went back to the parking lot of the restaurant..just in time when it was closing and the owner I thought was going to yell at my friend and was very violent because he thought we parked in his parking lot and were across the street, at this moment one of the waitresses that waited on us intervened and told him we were just at the restaurant 1 hour ago, and then he went to apologize (he reeked of alcohol) and hugged my friend. The whole experience was unpleasant, but the staff is nice and food is great, you be the judge. ...read more
