This is a nice place for a middle-class person to live - temporarily. The neighbors you will have are, in general, rude and seem to have not learned basic interpersonal skills. The walls are PAPER THIN. These two things put together make for an extremely stressful living situation. Dogs (large dogs) are permitted in second- and third-floor apartments. I have never heard of an apartment complex allowing this. So, if you have a large dog (or 3) upstairs, owned by a respect-impaired person, you have a recipe for misery. The MAIN reason I will move is the other residents. Maybe it's a Penfield thing - since moving here I have seen the townspeople's reckless abandonment of social graces or, for that matter, driving skills. Lastly, don't necessarily take the office secretary's word on anything. Don't let them change your apt choice at the last min. The "redecorating fee" seems excessive (+ sec. deposit!), esp. w/cheap carpet that RIPPLES. The gunfire is nonstop, sometimes til 11pm. ...read more
