I was a regular customer for various services. Twice I tried the gel manicures ($25 + tip), which I liked because they last about 2 weeks with little or no chipping. The salon recommended that I get no more than 2 of these in a row, & so I went in for a regular manicure ($7.00 + tip). When I was presented with a bill for $14.00 I was shocked! I was then told that there is an extra charge of $7.00 for soaking off the gel!! The soaking does not take that long, & even if there was such a charge, it should be known before the maniucure or at least be posted on the price board.
