About Haverstraw, NY
Haverstraw is a town located in Rockland County, New York. The city is home to many attractions including Bowline Point Park, the Phillip J. Rotella Public Golf Course, Thiells Mt. Ivy Park, and Cheesecote Mountain Park. Students living in the area are served by the North Rockland Central School District. At one time the area was called the brick making capital of the world. Today, however, most of the city's residents commute to close by larger cities for employment. Haverstraw does have many restaurants and other small locally owned businesses.
