I ordered an oversized item from Amazon. The company that was contracted to deliver it was ABF out of Cohoes, NY. When I called to schedule the delivery date the woman I spoke with, Teresa, set the date and simply asked if the item could be left at my house if no one was home. I agreed to that - big mistake.On the day of the delivery there was no phone call to me to verify if I was home. Rather than leave the item at my house (as was indicated would be done if I was not home) the item was left on the side of my driveway, far from and out of view of my house, where any passer-by can simply take it.When I called to complain about it I was told that "well, the drivers are in tractor trailers and can't pull into driveways" and that "delivery is curbside only." Absolutely none of this was conveyed to me by the representative of ABF when I scheduled the delivery.
