We were in the process of selling my late fathers boat when the boatyard did not secure it. The interior flooded due to storms and no one noticed for two months. The resulting damage was extensive. Vanner who was our insurance carrier said it was not a covered event and completely cut us to the wind. They would not recommend a strategy to approach the boatyard or the boatyards insurance company. They would not recommend an independent surveyor or independent repair yard.
