It is becoming standard practice with some of your store managers to circumvent the refund/return rules for your company for reasons unknown to me. However, my latest incident with the male Store Manager of your Radio Shack store 3125 E. Tropicana Ave in Las Vegas NV 89121. When I went to this particular store this past weekend to obtain a refund for an ill fitting and grossly price inflated I phone cord, I was immediately handed off to the store manager who after he took product and receipt for the cord purchase from me, proceeded to take the cord out of the packaging and look overly intensely at the cord even holding it at angles in the sunlight looking for a scratch or a scuff. Anything really that could give him reason to only offer an exchange and not a refund that I have later found out that have undesired effects on managers' financial reports and compensation levels. I was lucky enough to get someone that was so determined to not grant a justified refund that he actually just "said " he could see a small scratch on the item whch was wear and tear and can't be refunded. I have never been more offended as well as shocked by such self serving, rude treatment in all my life. Interestingly enough, after watching this wayward supervisor make an idiot out of himself, I ended up leaving with my item as well as the original bag and sales receipt and head to the next closet radio shack store where I get my refund I originally asked for in the first place without incident by a very friendly crew member at the store on Maryland ave at the Sahara ave intersection also in Las Vegas. You know, the item that had all that wear and tear made it past the eyes of this girl or maybe it was the possibility like I said that there was NO scratches on it to begin with except the imaginary ones. :) ...read more
